This track was build hover a tongue drum improvisation. Then came some keyboard & electronica, nepalese bowls and glockenspiel hints. So it's a mix of real instruments and Vst (harp, synths, etc). Please take your time and relax.

2025 semi-live performance.

I started producing Trans-Lunar Injection (https://soundcloud.com/petrus-major/trans-lunar-injection-travel) before learning of Jim Lovell's passing. The initial reference was simple: I was inspired by Kraftwerk's TransEurope Express (thanks to @fhauna for spotting this reference) and I wanted to travel through space :) hence the chosen theme and title. I finished the track after Lovell's passing.

The Apollo VIII epic had a huge impact on me, even though I was young at the time, as had those of Apollo XI and the others, of course. So my little dedication was sincerely necessary.

Then I wanted another version, more streamlined, and above all focused on the Apollo VIII mission with this extraordinary message sent from lunar orbit, including the reading of the first verses of the Book of Genesis by each crew member, on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1968, during a television broadcast: a magnificent event within the event! (I might come back to this later).

Hello. I'm not sure if this track is still a work in progress or if it ever could be finished. But it is finished now (as i uploaded it) and it's a pure experiment with many free samples i managed to acquire from freesound.org. (creative commons domain)
