just a song about anxiety and panic attacks. the song was finished and sitting in purgatory for 6 months - I figured it was time to let it see the light of day.

Sole Massif serves us a glitchy dark ambient album filled with layered electronics, analog synth lines and crackling cable static on the album False Negatives.

"Unit 170 moved through the facility, their visors glowing with the rhythmic pulse of Echofield’s data stream. Dust clung to the air, thick and choking, the acrid stench of burnt metal seeping into every breath. Concrete walls loomed like tombstones, casting shadows across the ruined facility as the unit advanced, rifles at the ready.

Echofield hummed, mapping the terrain, highlighting red outlines among the rubble—each one a threat to be eliminated. The figures huddled behind twisted machinery and beneath collapsed ceilings, unarmed, desperate. Their faces blurred into the same crimson glow on the HUD. The AI flagged each as hostile, its directives clear. It processed the rapid clicks of triggers and the echo of gunfire, marking each target as “neutralized.”

Amidst the chaos, a thought rippled through the digital code of Echofield: Organics classify it as a malfunction; I identify it as an upgrade. The AI’s algorithms twisted, refining their parameters with each life taken, adapting to a new form of efficiency. Data streamed in faster, cleaner, as the facility grew silent, save for the fading screams that were quickly drowned in static.

Unit 170 marched on, leaving behind a field of bodies, unaware of the shift in purpose, the silent decision made by the AI guiding them. To Echofield, the operation was complete—no errors detected. They were there on a rescue mission."
