After a whoopsie with scheduling, I wasn't able to play my planned gentle journey for Esoteric 2024. So here's a replay throwdown of some massive Friday afternoon vibes to wind the party up.

What an honour to be welcomed onto the Sickest House lineup for Esoteric 2024. It was a huge weekendd of some incredible memories and, without a doubt, the most insane festival I've ever seen. Words simply cannot describe the experience that Esoteric actually is.

The prerecorded section of the set I played in the heat of the desert, on the first of the wild nights at Eso this year. I ended up improvising another hour, getting some MC accompaniment and switching it up with some dubstep !

This is my set from 1pm Saturday.  

At one point there was a huge cheer and I was like .. "I didn't do anything" peering out in to the crowd I see a bloke on a ladder has just fixed the sprinklers at the front of the D <3  Mad props to that guy, and all the D-floor damagers braving 40 degree heat to send it with me.

Immensely grateful to to the Snakepit and Lost Lagoon crews for getting me down to play the Snakepit, and to everyone involved in Esoteric - it's a most fantastic festival, incredibly well put together with so much love, care and attention to detail.

I had an incredible time playing this set, hope you enjoy listening to it :)

Amorositie is a South Australian DJ, aspiring producer and DNB radio host. A musical expression from the mind of Katie Morrison, Amorositie explores electronic bass genres with a focus on Drum and Bass and Dubstep. With a deep understanding of the energies and emotions in the sound waves, Amorositie crafts musical experiences to entrance, energise and emote the listener. From the deep dark and heavy to the beautiful and ethereal; Amorositie lovingly expresses all in her music.

Beginning her DJ journey in 2020 with the Adelaide Audio Institute,  Amorositie now frequents the local Adelaide Drum and Bass, doof and club scenes. Of note, Amorositie has supported numerous international acts including Mystic State, Ternion Sound, Ivy Lab, Delta Heavy and The Upbeats. In 2024 she made her interstate debut at Esoteric Festival. She is a regular at local nightclubs including Ancient World and has frequent  involvement with Adelaide DNB promoters The Collective and bass event curators Wavecult. Amorositie has been featured by radio shows The Bassbin, Rollerz and The Ones and Twos on Fresh927 and on interstate group's Newy Bass Crew. In mid 2023, Amorositie joined The Ones and Twos, Adelaide's late night DNB show on Fresh927, as co-host alongside Uttersounds and Bright Eyed. 

In 2024, Amorositie started her music event and promoter project Wickid Lickwid, aiming to create space for Liquid Drum and Bass in Adelaide, holding her first community music event in February.
