Terabyte’s twenty-eighth release sees a return from the popular producer from across the pond, Cirrus. Since his last release on the label, Ian has branched out with releases on Nurtured Beatz, AutomAte Deep, and more recently his own imprint Terra Null Recordings. His approach has always been minimal and deep, and ‘No Matter / Originals’ is no departure from that; his signature sound powers through with more strength than ever. 

The A-side, ‘No Matter’ is a full-blown stepper punctuated by fidgety breaks and eerie pads. The listener is drawn in and entranced by the ominous soundscape; think Samurai Music in its droves.

The B-side, ‘Originals’ is much of the same. Aggravated patois vocals atop a weighty sub-bass and accompanying drum work that is so easily identifiable as Cirrus.

Interdimensional waveman Lakeway has mustered up a jukey-jungle hybrid in the form of ‘Lock Off’. Panpipe synths and some big beat steps combine to make the ultimate banger. Keeping things correct is Bristolian serpent Constrict. Choppy snares and flirty 8-bit synth stabs slither together to create ‘Tight Coil’. Soul Deep Digital and Magnetic Soul are proud to announce the release of the Dreamworld EP, which is now available in all major digital stores and streaming sites.  The trio of producers, based out of Hong Kong, have been a mainstay on Soul Deep this last year, with this EP being their 3rd release on the imprint.  Their impressive debut album put them on the map, followed by the Mixology EP that showed off their immense talent.  We’re now graced with their latest offering, which features 6 diverse tracks, that range from Old School Breaks, Jungle, Reggae, to classic atmospheric D&B.  

The title track, “Dreamworld,” kicks things off with a beautifully crafted track, which features thought provoking piano keys, lush horns, and the cool vocals stylings of the one and only, Stezo.  Stezo has made a name for himself with releases on The North Quarter, and Vandal Limited, while being featured by scene staples, Redeyes, Satl, and Roy Green & Protone.  The EP rolls on and is highlighted by the spirited, old-school influenced anthem, “Neptune.”  The song channels the best parts of the early hardcore breaks movement and infuses them into a modern Drum & Bass dancefloor workout.  The entire EP oozes with vibes and class, as noted by some of the scene’s movers and shakers.
