It’s been 3 weeks, and I’m still vibrating - still a little incredulous about playing live at Kater Blau, a venue that has been on my bucket list since it was still called Kater Holzig. It’s home to so many great artists I admire, a place that has long extended its magic beyond Berlin’s borders, and I am so honored to have had the opportunity to fill it with my music. 

I’ve been thinking about putting my live set together for a long time, so when the opportunity to premier it at Kater knocked on my door, it was crunch time. 2 months to conceptualize, dissect, render, rehearse - most of that time was spent on figuring out what doesn’t work. Many times I thought about changing to a DJ-Set instead, but ultimately, and last minute as always, I got to a point where I felt comfortable enough to take it out of my little garage studio here in Brooklyn all the way to my home country’s capital. 

These two hours on the Heinz Hopper floor went by lightning fast, and it all feels a little dreamlike still. Of course it wouldn’t be a live set without a few hiccups here and there (see if you can spot my „launching a whole scene, instead of just one clip“-mistake in the early part of the set haha), but I think that’s what makes it come alive in the first place. I learned so much from this experience, and got back to my studio/garage with plenty of ideas on how to grow from here. I want this to be a malleable work-in-progress, evolving together with me - unique, non-repeatable, moment-capturing, responsive, alive. 

Thank you to everyone to came out and got hot and sweaty with me on the hottest weekend in Berlin, literally and figuratively. A warm welcome indeed.
Thanks to all the artists who were involved in this event - you inspire me, you make me push myself, you made this weekend one for the books!

Coming back to Bucht der Träumer after such a long break was just pure joy.. 
It's a festival which draws an incredibly passionate crowd, so so many friends and remains nothing less than one of my highlights of the year. I hope you enjoy this recording of my set from Friday evening on my favourite floor, Atlantis.. from 18-20h. <3

This was hands down the most special party of the year. We didn't plan to upload this recording but the vibe was just outstanding at Acid Bogen so we couldn't resist. Thank you so much to the lovely Mira for trusting us once again, we love you and we loved playing this set on our favourite floor, in our favourite club, in our home town of Berlin. To all the ravers who went down the rabbit hole with us - thanks for creating this moment together with us even though the dance floor was so packed! Nights like this remind us why we do what we do.

So grateful for this beautiful experience. Thank you to my love Mira, I had the honor to play the closing for Mira's Birthday. I played for 8 hours on Tuesday morning. One of my best sets, high energy, and so many friends stayed and danced till the end inclusive of the birthday queen. Only 5 hours are recorded then the recorder stopped but so happy about these 5 hours. Thank you soo soo much. Love you

Hello my friends, I wish you all the best and health for the new year ❤. My best friend Bo Irion and I spent New Year's Eve at KaterBlau for the big Brain BBQ. Of course we didn't miss the chance to record this special set to share with you all. It was an indescribably great party at Acidbogen on Monday morning. Born in Bremen in 1980, Nayan Soukie's musical fascination began with Prince, Michael Jackson, Art of Noise and Franky goes to Hollywood. At 13, he swapped the classical guitar for computer music and never looked back. He tried his hand at Hip hop beats, later Easy listening, then Experimental sounds, and House music. Between community service and the start of the cooperation with Fritz Windish, which continues to this day, Nayan also went to search for meaning in other realms - but always ended up back in music. At the beginning of the 2000s, Techno, Minimal, and House music were also discovered in Bremen, and Nayan and Fritz took the bait. However, it would take until 2008 for the first vinyl release by the duo to appear on the Hamburg label Eminor. Fritz and Nayan moved to Hamburg, where they worked in a shared studio. Collaborations with Sebo and Madmotormiquel were followed by the founding of their label URSL and the move to Berlin in 2011. Here Soukie & Windish found a studio in Renate club together with Kotelett & Zadak and made a name for themselves as a duo. Since 2018, Nayan has been focusing more on his left-behind solo project Amount - and made a name for himself with his spirited live sets that alternate between Downtempo, Minimal, and Disco. An EP on Minimal Little Helpers was followed by his first Disco releases on Frank Music and Running Back. "The future will be disco for me, that's for sure," says Amount. And we can't wait to follow him into that future.
