I wrote this track after spending much of 2015 away from home, out exploring cities of every size across the world. Each time I would arrive in a new location, I would often wonder what was taking place back at home, what could I be missing? Standing in one city experiencing new smells, sights and feelings all the meanwhile leaving a part of myself back in Arizona. To Be Both represents the emotions and thoughts of that single moment, feeling as though I'm in two places at once.

Meet Me In Morocco

At the beginning of 2017, I found myself exploring new and unusual sounds, production techniques and forcing myself into the unknown. I knew the sound I was after, but I wasn’t sure at the time how to start the process and where to begin. As always, the outdoors has been the most crucial influence in both my music and photography - so I went back to the wilderness and decided that’s where my album would begin. Capturing the audio of branches breaking and footsteps on forgotten trails - I weaved various noises in and out of this ep. Along the journey, I re-connected with an old friend, AgesWild. Adding his personal stories and melodies to my songs was a humbling experience and something I’ll never forget. It’s been an intimate journey and I’m thankful to everyone who has been here along the way.

This past summer I spent time in Gothenburg, Sweden surrounding myself with the nearby woods. The original intention was to continue crafting electronic music, however after a friend loaned me his guitar, the outcome was entirely different. Over the course of two days, I sat down and began to sketch out guitar hooks and loops, which would eventually transpire into this ep.
