Dr Amanda E. Krause is a Senior Lecturer (Psychology) in the College of Healthcare Sciences at James Cook University (Thul Garrie Waja, Queensland, Australia). She also currently serves as President of the Australian Music & Psychology Society.

As a music psychology scholar, she studies how we experience music in our everyday lives. Her research asks how our musical experiences influence our health and well-being. Dr Krause’s research has made significant contributions to understanding how listening technologies influence people and how musical engagement impacts well-being. In episode 4 of Audio Forage, we chat with Henry Who about Naarm’s night life and culture capital, highlighting how important live music events are for our health and wellbeing, and what we can all do to support our local industry. 

Henry Who wears many hats as a DJ and Booking Manager for Naarm’s club migliore, Revolver Upstairs. A DJ technically adept as he is versatile, he can be seen with a couple of USBs, or even a tote bag of 45s residing at Melbourne’s institutional clubs. Showcasing in late night time slots has evolved into support slots alongside DJ Pierre, Matthew Herbert, Toro y Moi, Floating Points and Seth Troxler, as well as big stage presence at events including Piknic Electronik, Babylon Festival, Future Music Festival, Best of Both Sides Festival and S.A.S.H. (SYD).

He has now founded Revolver's launch into a recording label (Revolver Upstairs Records) working as Label Manager in the world of music distribution. All Who’s efforts as DJ, Booking & Label Manager are the pillars for Kanvas Presents, a booking and event agency encompassing his 15+ years in the diverse world of music and nightlife.
In this episode we also answer our listeners’ questions as we delve into how night life has changed throughout the last few decades, and what the future of our music scene could look like.
