Recorded in the Cherrywood project, near Bath. Many different bird noises from the morning and the evening, featuring Eddy the teenage cockerel with his breaking voice. Bass drum comes from a log dropping on earth, and the other rhythms are made from a closing metal gate.

Sounds of birdsong, crickets and bees recorded in early May near Benifallet, in the surroundings of a surprise festival that popped out of an orange grove

The main frog line was recorded in Batu Karu, Bali. The interesting little rhythm at the intro is one of the frog calls slowed down by around 90%. It seems they have little rhythms of their own going on inside their voiceboxes.

All rhythms are made from stick snaps, leaf crunches, log drops, etc, in a woodland near Avoncliff

Samples recorded during an 8 day trek across the Masoala peninsula in Madagascar. This track doesn't exactly capture the epicness of that voyage, but that may be a limitation of this kind of music, or it may be that we were concentrating more on crossing rivers and making it to the next forest settlement than recording
