An amazing record recently landed in my post office box, an absolute classic of an album I honestly never thought I’d see in person let alone get a copy of: Winston Mankunku Ngozi’s quartet masterpiece “Yakhal Inkomo” - I insist everyone at least take a listen to this on Spotify or elsewhere. On this episode I've included the title track to start off the set. First up is BYOG (Crown Heights), a summery hip hop infused , uptempo head nodder. Featuring an abstract but undeniably addictive baseline, and driving, crisp drum pattern, completed with rich golden analogue textures  . On the flip side, SIBWIR is a deep, slow-mo chugger. It's uplifting chord pattern and spine tingling vocals provide an absolute summertime treat, perfect for hazy beach sessions.
