Amps Kill is the noisey, post-industrial, experimental electronic solo project of composer, improvisor, and audio engineer Stephen Bailey. As a refugee of the post-postpandemic classical music world, and former director of the Denver-based new music group Nebula Ensemble, Bailey's output as Amps Kill abandons the organic world in favor of hyper-synthetic, immense, harsh textures that carry sparce, intensely focused musical material. This meeting of dense sound design with spacious composition serves as a logical meeting of Bailey's history in aggrotech, noise, and experimental techno, with his formal training in minimalism, spectralism, musical surrealism, and improvisitory live performance. 

Amps Kill is a fully DIY project, with Bailey doing composition, sound design, mixing, and mastering. The project also serves as a vehicle for Bailey's visual work in digital photography and video.
