Time is the continued sequence of existence and events that occurs in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, into the future. We humans have found nifty ways to define and help us understand it. Yet everyone's perception of this strange thing is unique.

Time dissolves into oblivion, if someone pushes "play" on the right track at the right place and time. Well, not too long ago the universe pushed a monumental pause button causing time and with it life on earth to freeze - but: our hearts never did.

We kept them in a safe place. And now a new summer is here, one that invites the dancing feet back to the places we hold so dearly.

"A Mirror For The Sun" is a compilation of pieces, which strive for no less than be the soundtrack that awakens our spirits, now that the big play button has finally been pushed.

The 2nd Volume of ‘A Mirror For the Sun’ is here, compiled by Niki Sadeki, featuring 27 artists and 15 songs.

Our goal was always to bring the world closer by removing barriers and letting sounds and rhythm demonstrate humanity's true, loving nature. Geplantes Nichtstun demonstrates this concept perfectly, by saying it is time to remove ourselves from the machine and make our own way, in our own time. These tracks look to offer introspective that can only be found after eliminating barriers like money and fame. Taking time for idleness lets us forget about the things that try and control our lives, a necessary respite in a time of increasing global noise. 

Tracks like Opak offer the perfect accompaniment to a quiet time of soulful reflection and Mario Wagner's wonderful Control Room image brings us the idea of self direction and taking charge of your own destiny… one rest at a time.

A monk is sitting in the lotus position, fully aware of his surroundings as he meditates. He starts to chant the mantra of YAM and opens his heart with the anahata chakra. He is right by the water - the Mekong River and becomes one with nature as he chants. A musical piece comes into his vision and his smile is brightening up, while he takes in the sun rays. He gets inspired by the slow twisting rhythms and low frequencies injecting deep into his soul. Chakra Yam is a piece, that is shaping the path between the physical and the metaphysical realm, to connect you with the universe, as all what we are made of are the remnants of ancient stardust.

Riyoon & Dan Buri - Chakra Yam

Kicking off 2021, Nathan Hall’s Sattva EP provides three moody slow techno offerings, with Kusht, Manski and jiony on remix duties.  Nathan Hall focuses on the darker side of music, with texture and atmosphere being the main subject matter of the EP. Born from short bursts of inspiration in the greyed out winters of the Pacific Northwest all original mixes are laced with pensive,  apocalyptic vibes. Expect synth pads kissed by the 80s, melancholic lead parts that break through and underline hypnotic arrangements and subtle organic percussions. Kusht’s remix lifts up these organic parts, supported by additional guitar lines to create his own signature version of These Days while Manski’s energetic version is a gritty banger with a touch of Leftfield House. Contributing a stripped-down remix jiony is rounding out the EP as a whole by adding psychedelic elements to keep up the spirit of Nathan Hall’s Sattva EP for a proper start into 2021.
