Die Magie der Unwissenheit... in 3 elektronischen Neuinterpretationen wird sie zur hochgradig tanzbaren Hymne für Lebemenschen. Als Grundlage dient ein deutsch-spanischer Song von Illute. In Viva La Ignorancia besingt sie nämlich die nicht vorhandene Notwenigkeit, immer alle Details zu kennen. Zur musikalischen Begleitung kommen im ursprünglich auf LasVegas Records erschienenen Titel erdige Bläserklänge, temperamentvolle Gitarren und handgemachte Rhythmik zum Einsatz. Eine Mischung, die natürlich voll und ganz ins Beuteraster von Kombinat100 passt. Für ihren Remix hatte die illustre Truppe eine klassische Guitaren-Session mit Jörg Schwenzer. Das Ergebnis ist eine faszinierend stimmige Mischung aus Strophen, Refrains und eingängigem, elektronischem Groove. Der zusätzliche Instrument Mix liefert einen stark hitverdächtigen Ausflug in Kombinat100’s einzigartiges Wunderland der blubbernden Bässe, tänzelnden Delays und verspielten Filtermodulationen. Nicht zuletzt gelingt auch dem Berliner Duo dingdongdilly eine mitreißende Vermählung von Songstruktur, knackigen Beats und zündendem Club-Schub.



The bliss of ignorance... is the inspiration for 3 electronic remixes, 3 highly danceable anthems for all hedonists. Their basic idea is a German-Spanish song by Illute. In Viva La Ignorancia she reminds the listener that it is not always necessary to know about all the details. The title, originally released on LasVegas Records, comes with the organic sound of wind players, with vivacious guitars, and with lots of hand-made rhythms. Quite obviously this mixture is a perfect match for Kombinat100. So the illustrious combo had a classic guitar-session with Jörg Schwenzer. The result is an intriguing melange of verses, refrains, and catchy electronic grooves. Also the instrumental mix has everything it takes to become a hit, even without the vocal part: Kombinat100 take the listener on a ride to their wonderland of bubbling bass lines, bouncy delays, and playful filter modulations. Last but not least also dingdongdilly, a duo from Berlin, manages to create a seamless connection of song structure, crunchy beats, and high-octane club boost.

Deersky’s Soundteller Records begins the month of February by welcoming Micrologue back to the label for his debut EP. The German artist has been a steady contributor to the Polish imprint since making his debut in 2014, while also finding a home on Inlab Records, MNL and Provider Music. Now four remixes deep into his Soundteller discography, Micrologue returns to the label for his first original project entitled ‘Analog Dream’.

The title track kicks off the proceedings with an emotive amalgamation of progressive house and techno. Punchy beats, rolling grooves and bubbly arp fragments work wonderfully across the first act. Positive and energetic, a bright percussive cadence pushes momentum forward, before a section of broken beats provides a bridge into an array of colourful melodies. Hopeful and uplifting, the main break serves as a showcase for it’s crystalline musicality to breathe, moving atop a bed of breakbeats and onwards to a transcendent finale.

The second selection ‘Subliminal’ lowers the tempo while continuing the cosmic musical narrative set by its predecessor. Built around a chugging foundation, it’s spacey effects and wispy atmospheres create an otherworldly vibe early on. Moving forward, a more distinct lead melody fades in and out of prominence, while Bodzin-esque sonics and a poignant break add all the goose bump moments you could ever want.

The release concludes with ‘Those Who Do’ which drifts further into hypnotic techno territory. Anchored by a warm and slightly pacier groove, it’s bright tones and chugging rhythms resonate beautifully against a backdrop of fuzzed out bass. Emotive chord changes complement a poignant yet quirky lead line, before coming to full fruition during a shimmering break and pulsating finale. It rounds out a timeless selection of music from Micrologue, one where the German artist’s precision craftsmanship and melodic prowess are on full display. Highly recommended.
