Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

Al-Bedol is small Bedouin tribe whose members reside in two locations in South Jordan: in and around the ancient city of Petra, and in the region of Humayama. The subtribes of Bedul are al-Fugara, al-Judelat and al-Muwasa with the last further divided into al-Jamada and al-Samahin. The tribe has been mostly pastoral, although they have also practiced seasonal farming. Due to their economy, they have not been very mobile. The seasonal migration was described by Canaan: In the winter season they spend between two and three months in the caves of Petra; in the spring they encamp around the wadis, while the summer is spent at the tops of the high mountains of Petra or on one of the surrounding ridges. The tribe had the distinctive habit of using the ancient rock-cut tombs of Petra as their homes. The caves provided them shelter and cover during the cool winter months when they stayed in Petra. The economy was based almost exclusively on herding goats and few camels. P A N can guide you to the love of Petra. This is his first offering for Shango Records. Our musical journey continues and opens this year's chapter with the new single "Orka en Amazonia" by Mayanáay, accompanied by a remix of Glenn Shaw. We are proud to welcome these two brilliant producers to our monad circle.

Mayanáay is the snail alias of Sam Fearon, náay means "DREAM" in the Mayan Kʼicheʼ language. Sam was born in the Mesoamerican Maya region, surrounded by a variety of landscapes, sounds and instruments. His productions are a combination of deeply pulsating drums, progressive rhythms, and hypnotic layers; he does not adhere to a specific genre, but navigates through a slower or faster tempo, aiming to evoke a náay state of mind.
 
Glenn has created a vivid interpretation of the Orginal to perfection, giving it a dirty twist with heavy basslines and freaky, driving synths.

The title track "Morning Sun" gives people the impression of waking up early in the morning after a good and fulfilling sleep, somewhere in India. It's spring time, the sun is rising, you can hear birds chirping outside everywhere. Although this is the general atmosphere, the lush and atmospheric sitar, the chopped vocals, marble sounds and a subtle touch of tabla are adding a rather darker and hypnotic vibe to the track.
