Ogun or Ogoun is a god that appears in several African religions.
He is awarrior and a powerful spirit of metal work, as well as of
rum and rum-making. He is also known as the 'god of Iron', and is present in Yoruba religion, Haitian Vodou, andWest African Vodun.
In Yoruba religion, Ogun is a primordial orisha who first appeared as a hunter named Tobe Ode. He is said to have been the first Orisha to descend to the realm of Ile Aiye ("Earth"), to find a suitable place for future human life. In some traditions, he is said to have cleared a path for the other gods to enter Earth, using a metal ax and with the assistance of a dog. To commemorate this, one of his praise names, or oriki, is Osin Imole or the "first of the primordial Orisha to come to Earth". He is the god of war and metals. Just a little reinterpreation for my 2019-Liveset @klunkerkranich :)
The original Rabenkind was a little laidback, so I wanted a more danceable/funky version. It is not thaaaat polished (just added the E-Piano I wanted to play live, changed the Kick and did some basic mixing). This release is kind of a "Thank you" for supporting me in 2020 that much :) You will see some more releases from myself and my project @bassaramusic (with the lovely @sahrabass) in the near future!
