We Welcome.  appreciate and celebrate Jack Essek @ackssek with his beatiful remix for Ulsen - History.
 
I remember my grandma playing the organ at her church. I remember my uncle playing the electric guitar in his childhood room at my grandma's house. He is showing me different sounds on his new effects board – distortion, delay, reverb. I remember grandma playing birthday songs on her piano downstairs. I remember my aunt, my uncles, and my mum writing and recording a song for grandma's 60th birthday. I remember my mum buying a piano. I remember my brother and I pretending to be a rock band. I remember my parents' record player and listening to 80s hit singles. I remember signals turning to white noise on the car radio as we drive. I remember my cassette recorder, pressing record and fast forward at the same time, and then listening to my own voice sounding way deeper and slower. I remember unintentionally creating a feedback loop with a guitar amplifier for the first time.

"Heritage" was created shortly after visiting grandma when she was playing the organ at her church. My intention was to create a similar feeling as the one I had when I heard her play, which brought back all these memories.

"History" is based on a feedback loop I accidentally recorded with one of my bands years ago.

Looking back I realize that the presence of music has always given me a feeling of belonging, stability, and hope. May you too find comfort in these warm, soothing sounds.

THEY HAD SPENT the morning at the Prado and now were sitting at a place in a building with thick stone waIls. It was cool and very old. There were wine casks around the walls. The tables were old and thick and the chairs were worn. The light came from the door, The waiter brought them glasses of mazanilla from the lowland near Cadiz called the Marismas with thin slices of jamon serrano, a smoky, hard cured ham from pigs that fed on acorns, and bright red spicy salchichon, another even spicier dark sausage from a town called Vich and anchovies and garlic olives. They ate these and drank more of the manzanilla, which was light and nutty tasting. Catherine had a Spanish-English Method book with a green cover on the table close to her hand and David had a stack of the morning papers. It was a hot day but cool in the old building and the waiter asked, "Do you want gazpacho?" He was an old man and he filled their glasses again. "Do you think the senorita would like it?" "Try her," the waiter said gravely as though he were speaking of a mare. Nearly a year before we’ve released the precious “A.manhã EP” by Brazilian wizard ElPeche.
