Having cut his cloth in the London underground party scene, Maxx quickly cemented his reputation as a technically accomplished DJ with an ear for quality, genre-transcending techno. He then went on to headline and play parties in most of the major cities around Europe and beyond.

A formally trained piano player, and with a diploma in Music Technology and Sound Engineering, Maxx runs his own label Polymeric Records, works as Label Manager for Molecular Recordings, owned by Marco Lenzi, and he worked for 6 years as Label Manager for Austrian label Carbon Audio. He recently quit this position to concentrate on the work for Molecular Recordings. All of these labels are available on vinyl, as MAXX is still making a point of supporting the media. As a matter of facts, he still plays vinyl at his gigs.

After moving to London from Italy, where he was born, MAXX has released over 100 tracks, including vinyl releases on Polymeric, Involve, Primate, Suspected, Physical, Berlin Invasion, Carbon Audio, Generator UK, Killawatts, Open Source, Techno Sessions, Interstate One, Interstate Colour, and Reborn UK, collaborating along the way with many great artists, like DJ ESP, Orlando Voorn, Marco Lenzi, and Pounding Grooves. His work has also been remixed by some great Techno producers, like Steve Stoll, Orlando Voorn, DJ ESP aka Woody McBride, Jam El Mar from Jam & Spoon, Nihil Young, Dolby D, and Subject One, to name few.

The next Girlcast presents Mara Menace 🌹

Hypnotic, disharmonic, fast-paced, and with an added touch of fractal vocal elements-Mara Menace encapsulates all these qualities. As stated in her bio, she's constantly investing in "bleepy sounds, relentlessly exploring diverse tracks that may seem repetitive or familiar to some listeners. However, the true magic lies in her meticulous track layering, skillful use of multiple decks, swift mixing, and impactful hotcue jumps. For Miss Menace, mixing is more than just playing one banger after another.

Since relocating to Berlin, Mara's music has evolved, taking on a new dimension influenced by the city's unique soundscape and her fervor as a dedicated raver. Her production work reflects a desire to craft pure, minimalistic, and hypnotic grooves that capture the essence of Berlin's underground techno scene. Over the past two years, she has relentlessly honed her sound, culminating in the release of her debut Various EP through SweetSpot.

1 Year Anniversary - Noëtik (Club Set)

Giacomo Stallone is half italian half spanish and no, he’s not Sylvester’s Stallone son but in fact he’s a distant relative who chose not to make action movies but to give action to the dance floor. He was born in Freiburg (Germany) but it is more Andalusian than gazpacho because he has been living in Granada since 1996.

His interest in electronic music began since he was a kid, but it was until 1999 that he decided to take the plunge into the professional circuit, always having Techno in its most hard groove version as standard-bearer, which today is still his hallmark. His influences go from Kool & The Gang going through Warren G to The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers; this makes having open vision when it comes the time to execute his sets. It didn’t take long for him to stand out on the spanish scene at the beginning of 2005, going through several of the most emblematic clubs such as: Florida 135 (where in fact he was headliner in one of the performances), Code World Tour, Industrial Copera, Basik, Escada, Amadis and many more.

In 2002 he began his career as producer, releasing on several record labels. But it is in 2010, with his track “Back to 2002” for the legendary label Kazoo Records (released on vinyl), when Giacomo's career takes a turn and puts him in the spotlight of the big techno labels on the planet such as: “Alchemy” (Mauro Picotto’s legendary label), “Patterns”, “Bitten” “Emphatic Records”, “Special Series” or “Backspin Recordings” among many others, becoming a benchmark of sound not only in Spain but outside of our borders. Giacomo had conquered the planet!

Today, Giacomo continues with his rebellious spirit, outside of fashions and getting back to make quality techno, true techno; the one which produces goosebumps and makes you sweat on the dancefloor, the one that is heard in the authentic clubs and doesn’t age over the years. His new label “Make Techno Great Again” is where he reflects this philosophy recovering new music from artists that are from the “old school” , and on the other hand he revived his old label Undershape Records which he founded in 2008.

In times of #Corona people have to keep touching each other without really physically touching each other, by staying #connected in their hearts and minds. This is possible and necessary in order to strengthen the cohesion within the population and to show #solidarity among each other. Through small gestures of attention, helpfulness, encouragement, contact, encouraging words and especially #sharing #music, we can help each other to overcome this unprecedented state of emergency and to remain an #inclusive and #supportive #community.

Our goal is to create a new #opportunity for #DJs from all over the world to share their music without borders and stay #connected #digitally. Moreover the artists will share their personal opinion about the #quarantine situation, explain how it affects them and how they try to deal with it.

Even if it is no longer possible for us to be together physically for an indefinite period of time and to live out our joy and love for music in #clubs and at #festivals, we can still #participate in each other’s lives through an online connection and stand this through together. Although states have #locked their #borders to each other, we shouldn’t create borders in our heads. Now is the time to get rid of all the borders in our minds and tear down the walls in our hearts - we’re in this #together.
