Defying trends while being perfectly in tune with the times is not a feat that comes easy. @jiminxir (pronounced Jimi Noir) makes it seem like it is. His spell-binding voice and remarkable talent as a songwriter comes with a unique sonic vision that puts the 21-year-old in a league of his own. 

Upon graduating from the Red Bull Music Academy in 2013, the New York-based artists has unleashed a series of astounding tunes - each decidedly singular - making us expect big things from his upcoming 'GXLD' EP. His cut "Since September" is a self-produced, sultry fall hit that has the power to act as substitute for the fireplace on those cold nights.

During the Paris attacks in January 2015, we were recording our second album. To evacuate all the sadness and the lack of understanding generated by these tragic events, we wrote a spontaneous and naive song, torn between the urge to cry and the need to party.

This song is called LOVE.

And then, 10 days ago, tragedy struck again. We listened to the song, we played it together. While playing it, we have been deeply moved, and we felt the need to share it with you. You can listen to it, download it, you can keep it to yourself, share it with your friends and family, you can love it or hate it…

Anyway, this song is now yours!

"I’ve been scribbling on this page for too long, but this is exactly where I want to be because I’ve wanted to share these words with you since I wrote this song. Since I was very small, I’ve felt things intensely. I always thought that I didn’t fit in or that it was abnormal to feel things so deeply. I had to find a way of protecting myself, so I created the concept of being “Hurtproof”. It isn’t a physical reality, but it’s a confession of vulnerability. Being honest and opening up my heart is my way of finding strength, and I guess that’s why this song happened. I felt totally numb that day, like my body couldn’t project anything. Writing “Hurtproof” was liberating and painful, but it came out so naturally. That’s when I knew that this song is everything I always want to be able to give you; something entirely honest and real.
