The Invisible share new track Easy Now - an 808-inflected deep-funk workout - recorded as part of the sessions for their new album, which Floating Points has contributed to amongst other guests. Describing the track Dave Okumu says: “George Clinton once said, "funk is anything you need it to be to save your life". We have always agreed. Serenading the unseen has become easier now.”

Additionally, catch The Invisible (Dave Okumu, Tom Herbert and Leo Taylor) performing as part of the Floating Points live band at the Dimensions Festival Opening Concert broadcast on Boiler Room tonight from 6pm GMT in support of his just announced debut album "Elaenia".

Since their last album - 2012’s Rispah (Ninja Tune) members of the band have been busy recording for, amongst others, Grace Jones, Jessie Ware, Lianne La Havas, Adele, Lana Del Ray, Polar Bear, Petite Noir and In Dreams: David Lynch Revisited.

The clouds moved softly and slowly in the warm haze of a summer afternoon. The watched over an eager world with a bittersweet judgement, the people down below took deep breaths in the heat of the radiant glow. Soon the clouds would be some place else, for theirs was a skydance unlike any other. The fluffy white orbs were but a mystery, a shapeless mass to those down below, yet their aura was fascinating and cast a shadowy spell across the evening hours of a beautiful day. They were candyfloss upon a deep sea of blue. 

Lxury is a producer who we have tracked and followed over many years - he has released most prominently on Grego Roman often drawing upon pop inspired sensibilities which tread and overlap with electronica and dance music. His new EP however, is more club focussed and sophisticated in style. It comes on Lost Palms.

Really challenging this week.
Took me a lot of time to get an idea going - but I'm happy with the end result.

- Took the melody of the bassline, tweaked it little, and used my minilogue to make a lead synth. Highpassed the drums and used them as perc.
- Vocals are from Splice. Did a bit rearranging and pitched them up to match the chords.
(Mix could use some work, but didn't have time)
