Planeta Amulanga 012 - HNY 2023 from Ventt & Keparys

I pay tribute to the producer duo of Andrei Lemeshko & Dave Pad, better known as Volen Sentir, hailing from the vibrant city of Moscow, Russia. 

My discovery of their music was a serendipitous one, stumbling upon their track "Vdol Po Rechenke" in 2017, which immediately caught my attention with its fresh and uniquely different sound.

Since then, I've been an avid follower of their work, eagerly awaiting each new release and even starting a fan group on Facebook in 2019. Though I have since passed on the group to other dedicated fans, Volen Sentir remains one of my all-time favorite producers. Their rolling basslines act as a signature sound, immediately recognizable as one of their tracks or remixes.

For this mix, I've decided to focus on their more recent releases, rather than revisiting the tried and true favorites that have been heard by many. The mix includes a variety of collaborations and remixes, showcasing the duo's versatility and range as producers.

EXODUS - The Journey of Liberation The EP EXODUS is a musical experience that narrates, in three songs, the epic journey of the Hebrews towards the Promised Land. Inspired by one of the most iconic stories in history, each track represents a crucial phase of this journey, translating into sound the emotions of suffering, trial, and triumph. 1. Escape The first song, Escape, captures the intensity and drama of the Hebrews liberation from slavery in Egypt. Desert In Desert, we are transported to the arid wilderness, where the Hebrews face trials and discover divine will. The sound conveys a balance between uncertainty and faith, echoing the challenges faced and the promise of a greater purpose. 3. Canaan The EP culminates in Canaan, a vibrant celebration of the arrival in the Promised Land. The melody exudes joy and triumph, reflecting the fulfillment of a dream and the reward for perseverance. With festive tones and an energetic spirit, this song concludes the journey with an exuberant sound, celebrating the new beginning.
