This episode features an original radio artwork by Mlin Patz – the solo project of Ukrainian artist Polina Matskevych, a member of Chillera – using sound recorded and composed by the artist, who has captured audio from a web-receiver over the last two months.

The project started in 2015 as an attempt to collage field recordings and electro-acoustic instruments; the debut EP TVRK was released on the platform Система and then, the dubbed 12'' EP Sunlimit on the Muscut label. Now the project has moved on to improvisation and sonic installations.

As the artist finished one project related to the research of radio as an instrument for spreading frequencies and as a source of information, this broadcast is about tradition and how people are using it in retrospect.

They stand naked, pulsating in the purple that lies underneath grey. Your voice’s limbs erect themselves as monuments to air, kin among the deafening night. The water level is now only tall enough to keep your voice’s core below. Your voice, fed by the swamp, cradled by duckweed, wrapped in horse tail, has become a secret organ. Your voice palpitates and releases twin echoes that undulate, to smoke’s rhythm, in the afterglow. The concept of space and distance plays an important role in terms of composition and organization of sounds, events in music. Within this mix, OL tried to show how music producers interact with this concept in different ways. As a result of mixing, layering and colliding selected tracks with different techniques and approaches, new, previously non-existent spaces emerge at the intersections.
