A deliquesce afterimage forming through slow collisions - trembling erosion, weightlessness, and substantiality, dissolving into granular ripples. Fragmented, porous sequences wrapped together in mellow stasis.

Adam Badí Donoval is a Slovakia-based sound artist, curator, and mastering engineer whose practice unites the spaces between composing his own music and moulding the sound dimensions of other artists. Adam has nurtured a label - Warm Winters Ltd, that serves as a home for exploratory music. Beyond all that, he extends into performance, writing, education, and curatorial projects. A dynamic dialogue - linking sound, memory, and the environments they inhabit.

For this month, Stride Breaker returns with a lovely bouquet of live acts from Nexcyia, Theo Alexander and yours truly + surprise performances from Zoe Darcee and DJ Paradise. The program was held a Kwia (DE) on February 7th 2025 with an engaged and enthusiastic audience. I’m very lucky to have been allowed to put this lineup together at their space. Shout out to my girl Ingrid for co-hosting the event!

Highlights from this night include a live rendition of the renowned 3XL banger ‘Reality Beat’ with Zoe Darcee and DJ Paradise (which starts the mix) as well as a special performance marking my first collaborations with Prague-based composer Theo Alexander and Berlin based producer Nexcyia. Additionally, a spontaneous collab with my love Shy (DJ Paradise) and an easter egg at the very end produced by the iconic, multifaceted Ludwig Wandinger called 'Signed Sealed Delivered'.

a. hello! i'm max, a new zealand-born dj based in london.

q. is there a story behind the mix?
a. my aim was to evoke a descent into a strange and enticing dream. i recorded in fragments over a week and weaved it together with attention to flow and inflection points.

q. what’s the best way to enjoy your mix?
a. in a still and quiet place.

q. describe a favorite object in your living room...
a. a humble coffee table that regulates most of our living room activities, moving wherever and carrying whatever needed.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
a. i produce "many worlds": a collaborative mix series with a focus on contemporary ambient music and sound design. i also organise regular dance music events in west london with the sunflower dance collective (sdc), and am looking ahead to our next series of forest parties this summer.

"Velvet Myst" marks the most overtly melodic offering on Corrosiv. A mirage of clarity inside a collapsing system. Rooted in a skewed sense of wellness culture, the track traces a contour from the fetish of regeneration to the abyss of self-erasure. Skincare regimes, biohacking rituals, influencer doctrines fall apart under the weight of a body made porous by microplastics and spectral trust. Through synthetic vocals that stretch and gloss over time, paired with Heith’s disembodied presence processed to near-infancy, "Velvet Myst" slips into a faded Americana shoegaze palette that lingers there—pale, fragrant, near-catatonic.

"Velvet Myst" unfolds in a glaze of petroleum heat, wellness vernacular, landscapes bleached with pessimism. Rejuvenation rituals curl into themselves, skin pulled taut across synthetic promise, the body swelling with trace chemicals and distant voices. Youth loops back unnaturally. Conviction thins; gloss settles over wreckage... An immaculate wound, lit from within.

The record features additional contributions from Heith as well as collaborations with Jiyoung Wi, Habib El Bardi, Bernardino Femminielli and VISIO and is mastered by Stephan Mathieu at Schwebung Mastering.

Continuing in a series of studio albums Serwed present their new release — “V” (Five).

In this collaboration, Radboud Mens and I explore the tension between stasis and movement. Operating within the realm of drone and electroacoustic music, we construct a sonic landscape where sustained tones and microscopic events constantly shape and reshape each other. What initially appears static reveals itself to be rich with detail: tiny acoustic shifts breathe life into apparent stillness, inviting focused and attentive listening.

The album emerged from a process where sound research, improvisation, and sound design merge. Self-built instruments, the search for timbre and texture, and recordings of the learning process itself form the foundation of these compositions. Rather than following a traditional musical structure, the result is a sonic field in which the minimal continually transforms depending on the listener’s perspective. This is a layered and handcrafted album that doesn’t narrate, but questions. Marking A Boundary With The Turning Point is not a boundary. It’s an invitation to listen differently.
