BIO - 
After an initial interest in Hip-Hop/Turntablism culture as a teenager, Dschen soon
became attracted by the early Atmospheric & Liquid Drum'n'Bass sound, which led to his first gigs and experiences as a club DJ. This was until around 2007. More than 15 years later the focus of his DJ sets today lies mainly on hypnotic, deep or driving Techno and organic halftime grooves, sometimes merging both styles in the same set through proper track selection and mixing techniques. Current DJ sets are regularly published in his own "Temporary Escape Podcast“ on SoundCloud and YouTube. 

In addition to his activity as a DJ, Dschen has delved deep into the world of modular synthesizers in recent years, following a long phase of experimenting with different production and composition methods. Now his tracks are created as intuitively as possible, often by recording live jams in the studio to capture a special sound aesthetic and authenticity. His debut album “One Armed Statue“ (see below) came out in early 2023 on the Mexican label,  https://soundcloud.com/secuencias_temporales, and embodies this recent artistic development. Focusing on deep, organic Downtempo Techno, halftime tracks and Ambient on the mentioned LP, his upcoming releases will also delve into faster and more driving Techno territory. Stay tuned!

Closing out this year’s show with a strong finish, Bright Patterns welcomes Ananda Metelina AKA mayilovesummer—a New York based DJ, event producer, and co-founding member of Hybrid Identity. As a musician, they spin a mix of dark, hypnotic, broken beat techno, experimental, and ambient—including references to their roots, by mixing in sounds inspired by Vaishnavism and Eastern sonic patterns. As a vibe curator and culture creator, they aim to establish diverse and inclusive spaces that allow for shared cathartic experiences, while centering and celebrating queer, trans, and female bodies. Russian-born and raised, they know the true meaning of community as resistance; with their life work being to provide safety and joy to their diaspora.

Amy Pickett is a Minneapolis-based DJ who plays house, techno and a variety of electronic music. Highlights include playing Communion, Black Mass, SYSTEM, House Proud, Deeper Mpls, Dark Energy and Willy Street Beats at the Willy Street Fair in Madison, WI. Amy is also a former member of the Why Not ? Crew @whynotcrew, a monthly residency at Kitty Cat Klub from 2017 to 2018. Amy contributed a mix for Minneapolis-based Kajunga Records @kajunga in January 2017 and another in February 2024. She contributed a mix to Milwaukee-based Close Up of the Serene’s radio.computer @closeupoftheserene show in January 2018 and a mix to the Daisychain podcast @daisychain_podcast in August 2019.
