The cinematic soundscape of her debut single Moving is the perfect backdrop for Swift’s uniquely bold and distinctive vocals.  Cleverly managing to weave between both defiance & vulnerability, you can feel every ounce of emotion in the depths of her rich velvety tones and through her painfully honest lyrics.  

Produced by up-and-coming producer "Nadeem" with drums and percussion by the well known Steve Hewitt of Placebo, Moving is strong & defiant, kicking down the doors of solo female singer/songwriter to the point where you wonder who you just listened to.  Swift has firmly solidified herself as One To Watch in 2019.

Amy Swift has been making waves with her music this year and the third single ‘Every Little Thing’ is no exception.

Hailing from South East London, Amy is no rookie to the industry, having written for a plethora of other artists, and fronting Universal-signed electro-soul act Pacific State, it’s evident she is now solidifying herself as a solo artist and ‘One To Watch’

It’s been a strong year so far, being awarded ‘Artist of The Month’ in September by the iconic Madison Square Gardens Group, an upcoming stint supporting Natacha Atlas on her European Tour, and widespread accolades from the likes of The Guardian, Tom Robinson Fresh On The Net, Earmilk, Pop Dust, and Record of The Day to name but a few.

Pulling on her early influences of Motown, Jazz and R&B, the self-penned ‘Every Little Thing’ showcases Swift’s talents in both songwriting and vocals, displaying the gorgeous more softer side to her voice.  Her vocals are rich and velvety, smooth and sultry, but with a vulnerability which makes you feel every inch of the songwriters lyrics as she sings ‘Let go of love they told me, twice is enough and only a fool don’t give up on borrowed time’ 

Produced by long term collaborator "Nadeem", the production is fresh and stripped back but with a chorus which takes you back to Motown classics of the late 60’s early 70’s.  This is a song about heartache, which Swift seems to nail every time. Cleverly weaving between the light and dark that comes with each relationship.  ‘I wanted to relate to everyone that’s been in that place, you’ve been messed about, you want to let go but you can’t as they just keeps coming back’

Every Little Thing - Radio Edit

Amy Swift is back with this blissful slice of ethereal contemporary R&B.  She describes Planets as ‘unravelling’ and ‘dreamy’, and Planets does exactly that..It beautifully unravels, creating what feels like a luxurious sonic sound bath.  Amy explains ‘It’s about being lost in someone, feeling a connection that’s beyond just the two of you, it’s all consuming, the feeling that you’re both connected to one another on a soul level’ 

This is the next single in a series of work with her and producer ‘Nadeem’.  Amy wanted to explore different sonics with this one, creating what is more of a beautiful building soundscape as opposed to your regular ‘song’ arrangement’. ‘It was an exploration of my favourite genres of music, with elements of R&B, Jazz and Trap all in there’ 

You can hear moments of her early loves of Soul and Jazz, blissfully weaving amongst the more synthy Trap sounds and contemporary R&B.  Her sultry Jazz vocals sit right at the forefront, enticing you in, with velvety bv’s gradually building, teasing and lifting you to the gorgeous swirling sonic climax of ‘I see the stars’.  ‘I wanted to create a piece of music that sounds like how you feel when you’re with your person, in that place, they're sensations and emotions completely engulfing you and you’re able to lose yourself.’
