Quicksand Serenade pulls you into a world where shadows and light collide, where every step forward feels like sinking deeper. It’s a haunting reflection on struggle, temptation, and the fragile beauty we cling to when everything threatens to consume us. Both dark and bittersweet, it whispers of despair and hope in the same breath — leaving you to decide whether the quicksand is an ending, or the beginning of something deeper.

As a song indirectly about nation-building but directly about the eye-brow raising freedoms that linger in the aftermath of building western democratic countries like Canada, centuries later its citizens patterned a new way forward for Canada: creating an ever changing definition of itself, year after year. But is the sustainable nature of a democratic nation conducive enough to construct one shared identity today, all this time later? Should citizens have 'stock' in domestic and international matters to an extent? Can the terms and conditions of our national history of blood, sacrifice, negotiation and compromise, lies and untruths, and follow-throughs of success and admiration be rewritten?

THP questions the assumptions left suspended in time. As a nation and as an entity which has continued along the path of walking a fine line between generosity and greed, war and peace, Canada takes center stage in this number. The lyrics twist and turn in typical THP fashion while incorporating and highlighting symbolisms and old world primeval notions of growth within a context akin to the development of democracies. Long Way Down uniquely conveys the significance of our national colours (red and white), the effects of togetherness and solitude, and giving voice to those who have served, built, fought for and defended our nation.

The song blends ethereal guitars, restrained percussion, and weary vocals into a slow descent — equal parts surreal and grounded, peaceful and unsettling.

Long Way Down

"Let It Out!" is the eleventh #lemon12 single of 2025. Once again, the track dives straight into Lemon’s signature Nedchester groove — or, as several music blogs call it, the Neo Madchester groove. It’s a sound heavily inspired by the Second Summer of Love era, but with a distinct Lemon twist. This second-to-last #lemon12 release of the year feels both uplifting and a bit defeatist at the same time. The message? Enjoy life, even if the world’s on fire.

Flickers

A song about the slow corrosion of a toxic bond built on need, denial, and intertwined self-destruction. It traces the feeling of watching someone you love lose the purity and ideals they once held, and the guilt of wanting both to save them and to escape them. The song moves between quiet repression and stark honesty, unraveling the truth that nothing resolves itself on its own, capturing the moment of admitting that in trying to save someone, you become part of the damage too.
