The past few years have seen a flood of industrial, EBM and post-punk sounds creeping into the techno world, and few artists have been bigger in this movement than Silent Servant. On December 8, the LA producer and former Sandwell District member will be releasing his latest full-length, 'Shadows of Death and Desire,' via the Hospital Productions label. Ahead of that, we debuted the sinister "Damage" on Red Bull Radio's First Floor, our weekly look at what's new in electronic music.

In steps, Par Avion into the fabled FH Unsigned series. A safe haven of sonic warmth; for one to enter, listen to a fucking belter, then placidly leave. 'Not Everyone Loves' ensures the feng shui of the series remains in tact, delivering, yes another 'belter' - although, a belter flaunting esteem and class - attributes one can only assume the mysterious Par himself exudes. 

This cut is one that further reminds you that 'putting things in boxes' has no place in 2018 and beyond. Things are no longer as binary as 'yes' or 'no' - if something has two legs, does it mean it's a pair of jeans? If an amusement park on the shore is empty, does it mean it's haunted? If a track flaunts crunchy percussion and a shed load of saturation, does it mean it's Lofi? Babble aside, Par Avion delivers a track of real quality, demonstrating clear production prowess. Phase memory was a complicated burden and it had led him down many a dangerous path across the years. Whilst he was settled now he still feared that one day it might reappear to haunt his very being and dismay. Others watched on as he danced high and mighty upon the stage but little did they know of his inner turmoil. 

Gene Tellem is a producer and dj very much on the rise. Having previously released on Project Pablo's Sounds Of Beaubien Ouest she now takes aim with a new EP for London based imprint Wolf Music.

Teaming up once again for their second EP on Daniel Steinberg and Nils Ohrmann's Arms & Legs imprint, Chicago house treasure Felix Da Housecat and the Australian dancefloor aficionado Kristin Velvet gear up for ‘Cats Love Velvet II’ - a follow-up to their jacking 'Cats Love Velvet' EP released this past August.

Ahead of the release, the pair have offered up 'Swing Special' - a track with compelling layers and a punchy fortitude that is bound to bring heat and mischief on the dancefloor.

EXCLUSIVE Chloé 'Through the Bells'

Without a doubt Permanent Vacation's eponymous compilation, which is released every other year, not only marks the musical ending of every second calendar year but is a highlight to any music-enthusiast's record collection as well as a proper track- or dance floor potpourri of music for any DJ. With the fifth compilation Permanent Vacation remains true to its sound yet reinvents itself by giving emerging and established artists a platform to share their current musical approaches. Multi-talented Chloé certainly belongs to the latter named as the Parisian has contributed several musical pieces in various ways to the electronic music scene and a wider audience. As the label-founder of Lumiere Noire Records she recently compiled its anniversary compilation to now present her latest track 'Through the Bells' on Permanent Vacation 5. The track is built just around what the title suggests: bell-sounds. Starting off with a multi-layered bassline and shallow 80s influenced chords Chloé implements the track-carrying and looped bell-element after that unfolds a hypnotic effect through its monotony which the producer skillfully breaks open by partly replacing the effaced chords, giving them more space and strike up a symbiosis with the first occurring and newly placed bell-sounds. Therefore 'Through the Bells' is an ongoing dancefloor relationship that swaps sounds but not the love for its intention to surprise and fascinate the audience, the listeners of Chloé's music.

Permanent Vacation 5 will be released November 23rd.
