Shadows

This track is about feeling the need to leave a certain place or belonging behind, such as an object, person, or city. The original title was “ghost this town”, as when I was writing it, I was in a place of mind where I wanted nothing more than to leave and find a new place, travel on my own, and start fresh in a new city. I decided “Abandon” is a better fit for the theme, as it can be used to express something more than a city, and thus can be applied to other struggles people feel the urge to let go of.
