Thank you for this. Beautiful rendition, very alive! This song speaks to me on so many levels. I recall hearing it on the taxi shortly after arriving in Buenos Aires to teach a course in 2001. It’s part of what made me fall in love with the city and want to learn how to dance tango, which I did. I particularly like dancing to this song, even though it’s considered “not dancable.”

In a country where there are two moons, those two moons overlap exactly once every 500 years. There is a certain legend that is said to occur at that time...

The piece is centered around the Japanese instrument, the koto, and is accompanied by an orchestra.

I composed this while thinking about such things.
