The story of this song began with the meeting of the talented Mozambican singer, Mané Aniva 🌍. When we started this collaboration, Mané was confined to her home, like all the residents of the capital, Maputo, due to a presidential election marked by tensions ⚖️. Our artistic exchanges naturally took a more personal turn, focusing on the current situation of her country and the issues shaping Mozambique at that precise moment. Over the course of our discussions, we shared our respective visions of our continents 🌍🌎 and our cultural differences 🌏. It made me realize how we can be so geographically distant and yet so close humanly 🫶🏼. As Mané told me, music opens doors and crosses borders 🎵: it is a universal language that unites us 💫. I’m happy to have crossed paths with her, convinced that this meeting is only the beginning of a rich artistic collaboration 🎤🎶 and a beautiful friendship 💖.
