Redd Ophis is a resident of MOTZ and FLŪXO, founder of Synthapise - a non-profit event for animal rights, and co-creator of Kollektiv Affair. She has a monthly radio residency with AAJA Music and her vocals feature on End Train’s “The Day I Didn’t Want to Wake Up”, focused on breaking conditioned thinking in our society (Code Is Law). She is a regular on the London scene and has supported acts such as I Hate Models, Perc, Chris Liberator, 999999999, SNTS, Stranger and more.

Anahita invited Shams and Taha One, two incredible individuals making a difference.

They will discuss Shams's various projects, including her creative writing in poetry and experimental prose, and her research on Arabic hip-hop, Palestinian women’s resistance, and sexual and reproductive health in Palestine.

Then, we’ll dive into the Algerian electronic music scene with DJ-producer Taha One. He will share insights into the local music system and treat us to an hour-long techno set, blending North African percussion sound and journeys with techno beats.

Seba (She/They) is an interdisciplinary musician, performance artist, DJ and Trans+ activist. She started her career as an opera singer and performance artist on an international level performing at the likes of The Lucerne Festival, BBC Proms, Royal Festival Hall, Santa Fe Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Glimmerglass Festival, English Touring Opera, and has curated and presented works at institutions such as MFA Boston, Tete a Tete Festival, Wilderness Festival, Illuminarts Miami, FIU, Barbican Centre, NSU Art Museum, and has recordings released with Boston Modern Orchestra Project. They have produced a number of podcast series across a range of topics from opera to self-actualisation. She works as a speaker and educator on Trans+ identities and is on the steering committee of Campaign LGBTQ, delivering talks and workshops on the topic, most recently to the Kraft Heinz Northern European business. She is co-curator of the cultural programming at Algha's Plant Room in Hackney Wick, and works as a member of the welfare team at Fold as well as being active in her local community. 

Seba's core belief is that through connection, collaboration, and understanding, we can, in the words of Lola Olufemi reimagine a world that has no borders, seen or unseen, and through a shared consciousness of care we can use queer relational structures to build a new future.

Her trademark bright yet diabolic sound focuses on toying with ones state of sanity through textural, playful and psychedelic sonics consistently delivering a signature sound that can be recognised by the very essence and character of her sets - a driving force infused with positivity that promises to keep the dancefloor moving.

As an artist, venue manager and promoter, Melati’s relationship with music is intrinsic to every aspect of her life. From her Masters study exploring the spatial, social and political position of nightclubs in a city to her on-the-ground work in venues, Melati has lived and breathed the spaces in which we find sanctuary throughout all of her adult career.

Makaan-مکان Records’ monthly show "Artists Without Borders" introduces one of the most talented and creative individuals - Sita Shah. DJ and award-winning Creative Director from London, part of the Daytimers and Sisu Crew collectives, and a resident DJ at Makaan-مکان Records.

Known for "breaking the rules," making industries more equitable, decentralised, and innovative, she brings her unique "desi techno" sound to the show. Think four-to-the-floor mixed with tricked-out Bollywood edits and bhangra basslines going 100 miles an hour 🌀

Sardinian-born, London-based DJ/producer and chef Mattia Fois is known for his raw, hypnotic, modular sound. Moving between the studio and the kitchen, he blends rhythms.

As of all episodes, they’ll start with a one-hour conversation, and then Mattia will close the evening with his unique and hypnotic set.

French-Born and now based in London, with Moroccan and Algerian roots, Sarah’s Journey as a DJ hasn’t been easy. In her culture, pursuing a path in music, especially as a woman, is far from the norm. To follow her passion, she’s had to keep her work hidden, but her love for the craft shines through in every track she plays. Coming to London was her way of re-discovering herself, and through that, she discovered a passion for Techno music and then, a few years later, for the art of DJing.

Her style is a fusion of high-energy grooves, with heavy basslines blended with dark and hypnotic rhythms with a touch of Breakbeat and Electro. Through her music, Sarah creates a space for exploration, vulnerability, and self-discovery, offering others the sense of love and belonging she found in the queer rave community.
