I've heard from friends and others that the melody of my old track "Parallels" written by the end of 2019 is special to them, and somehow it resonated with them. So, I decided to make it even better by remastering it. I'm excited to share the new version with you now. Just close your eyes and listen 🌖

There isn’t much to say, except that from time to time it feels like I’ve been asleep for ages. There comes a time when you see the world in a new light, when you choose to awaken. Can you relate?

Awakening is therapy.
Awakening is the inner dance when no one is watching. It’s the feeling of freedom.
The melody of a fantasy, wild and beautiful, just as fantasies are meant to be.

In one of the folders on my computer, there was a melody. I immediately knew — it had to be called Home.
After releasing Tree of Life, I started thinking about home. About family, roots, and everything that came before me. I believe you need time and inner journeys to truly understand the meaning of “home.”
You can become a parent. And even move to another country. Far from the place where you were raised.
But there is the home where it all begins. 
Your parents’ home. Where you remember the smell of your mother’s cooking. And your father’s look — strict, but warm. It’s the place where you first became yourself. Where memories live. 
Later, there’s the home you build yourself. Your own. Where you’re grown up now. Where you hear your child’s voice. Where you give warmth yourself.

Home is about all the things you want to go back to. Even if just for a moment. About that one magical button that could take you back to the beginning.

Waltz of the breeze

Here is my another work for the Orchestration course in Berklee College of Music. This piece is for a classical Armenian orchestra, where we can hear our traditional oriental motifs sounding like the song of the duduk. I wanted to share the dreams and memories of the Armenian highlands and plains, the culture that is thousands of years old, the joy and sadness of my people. These notes and sounds of instruments speak for me, and the job they do is better than any of my words.

Neoclassical. Romantic. Spiritual. These are all words that perfectly describe Armenian composer Anait Markaryan’s music. With the hypnotic repetition of arpeggiating piano melodies and the passionate epics of an orchestra, Anait makes music that evokes emotion and pure imagination.

She hopes to share her music with the world through cinematic soundtracks, with dreams of writing for TV, film, short movies, documentaries and social projects. There’s no doubt that these dreams will become a reality, as she uses the power of her beautiful musical language to connect with people around the globe.
