Toronto producer Dowden joins Modern Agenda Music with his three track EP, Ripple. Each of the tracks carries something special, each is unique in its own sound. 

Ripple, the title track, is in collaboration with local Torontonian vocalist, Amber Long. Ripple is a melancholic vocal track that leaves space to the imagination as the melody carries the mood along. Keyway is signature sound for Modern Agenda music, a perfect addition to any set, with that deep Progressive House sound, rolling bass, intricate percussion, just a beautiful piece of work. Somber is, as the name suggests, very dark, cinematic and the perfect introspective ending track to any set.

Carsten Halm is a German DJ and producer who keeps his doings very much under the radar. He started his DJ career more than10 years ago avoiding clubs playing at self organized parties in the countryside near Cologne with just two residencies. The parties got so famous that DJs like Sven Väth came to visit and hang out. This experience prepared him to understand the essence of his music production. His music has the unique quality to bring people together and experience something very positive. Now Carsten plays clubs as well but he still sticks to his roots. In 2018/2019 he released on the label Monkey League. Two of the tracks "Sonnenstrahl" and "Traumtänzer" made it in to the top positions at Beatport. "Herbstnacht" has a tribal sequence running that places you right into an open air setting at night. The track communicates perfectly the exchange of ones inner self with the things that happen around you. The track has the aura of an epic dance track which seems to defy time since it could go on forever. The flip side of the vinyl offers the track "Sternenfunkeln" in its original version and the remix version by shooting star Nils Hoffmann. The original is brooding and mysterious yet it does generate a lot of forward motion that pulls you into the track. The track could be understood as expressing the feeling of dancing below the starts catching illuminating glimpses of stars with their thermonuclear fusion happening while we are to far away to understand any of this but see the radiation into space. Nils Hoffmann’s remix is a sensitive composition with melodies that seem to glide, never touching the ground but on the other hand he has an underlying kind of tension running through the track not
unlike a current.

Anakim understands that patience is a virtue; that artistry is a journey to be enjoyed and appreciated, but also a journey that requires hard work and honest self-reflection to create growth and change.

Anakim’s career reflects that journey on all levels, conscious and unconscious. Whether referring to the suspenseful builds that define his unique rendition of melodic techno, or the consistent growth and reach of his project that’s garnered him considerable accolades.

Hailing from Los Angeles and now residing in Las Vegas, the music of Anakim, real name Riccardo LeBron, offers deeper messages than what the ear may initially grasp, often layering in thematic elements that are futuristic and forward-thinking by way of concept EPs. It’s intricate, layered, and sophisticated.

“I’d say I have honed a formidable style that is melodically rich and delightfully sinister,” he enthuses. “I mesh these hypnotic melodies with dark, driving rhythms, pulling listeners in with visceral tension before eruptive moments of energy that translate seamlessly from club to warehouses to festivals.”

This is a sound into which Anakim has put much time and care developing. Listening across his extensive catalog with releases on Armada Electronic Elements, Running Clouds, PRGRSSN Records, Somatic Records, EIN2 and Desert Hearts Black, this growth and change follows an exciting narrative, coming now to a sound that displays his true character as a human being, and tells his chosen story through sonic elocution. 

Along this journey Anakim has told his story in the club, the warehouse, and world-renowned festivals, winning Insomniac’s Discovery Project and landing impressive bookings at Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Art of the Wild, Holy Ship, Beyond Wonderland, and Nocturnal Wonderland. 

In 2019, Anakim was named one of DJ Mag’s ‘Bubblin’ artists to watch, and soon after he received the title of one of Billboard Dance’s Emerging Artists of 2020. Later that year even through a global pandemic, his track “Bailey’s Song” was added to Beatport’s “50 Best Tracks of 2020. 2021 saw him named to 1001Tracklists “Future Of Dance” list, with all of this praise leading to him joining the SEVEN20 client roster.

Anakim sees all of these honors as a reason to celebrate, but he also sees them as mere rungs on a ladder. Chapters in a story he’s writing every day in the studio and on the stage. The story is far from over, but those with the same patience as Anakim will see that story unfold into a masterpiece of the modern era.
