Premiere: Tony Lionni - I'll Wait For You [Analytic Records]

AR005: Audio Analysts - Be Yourself (feat. Ellie Lavery)

It’s that time… we've reached our fifth release as a record label and of course it had to be a big one!

Without further ado we are extremely proud to present the “Be Yourself” EP from Audio Analysts, featuring Ellie Lavery on vocals, with 2 huge remixes from John Tejada + Carlo Gambino. Both absolute heavyweights in their own regards amongst the Electronic Music scene. 

The topic of this project and the words used to convey it's message by Ellie are flawless. An Irish actress, arts & drama student training at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, she speaks on “losing sight of who she was, what was important and trying to change her character” only to find the best thing she could do was be herself. 

Behind the beautiful message is an amalgamation of textures, bleeps, bloops & sounds that make a top track. Serious business here from the dynamic duo!

Next up is a remix that blew our minds when we first heard it here at the Analytic HQ. Long standing pioneer John Tejada has been turning heads since 1994 with releases on; Kompakt, Pokerflat, Defected Records + Cocoon, to name a few. A true artist who is well seasoned having travelled to more than 30 countries DJ'ing and performing live at clubs/festivals such as; Berghain, fabric, Rex Club, Womb, Dekmantel, Decibel & Movement. 

He is known for delivering the goods… yet he still managed to remix this track in a way that we could have never imagined. It’s the perfect balance between Techno & Tech House. 

A driving, gritty, bassline gets the head nodding and the use of swing on the hi end percussion really creates a solid groove here. 
The real cherry on top however comes when the synth hits around the 1:30 mark, it's clever movement through a range of different LFO's make it pulsate through your body and cut through in the mix in all the right ways. A truly outstanding production. 

To round off the EP we travel the globe to Australia where we find Carlo Gambino (Mr. Midnight Social Recordings). Carlo has been in the game since the 90's and has played at many of the world's best loved dance floors including; Sankeys (Manchester), Space (Ibiza), SASH (Sydney) & Decadence (Paris). 

Here he takes the more intricate and Housey approach drawing attention to each small detail. A lot of movement in the sub bass ensures that this will have hips swaying whilst feet are tapping in the club or on the terrace at a day time party. The smooth pads are also a real compliment to Ellie's vocals. We're happy to have this man on board.

AR002: Jake Beautyman - Mareen Life (EP)

 After an incredible launch Analytic Records bring you their second EP! One that is full of tracks which further set the president of what’s to come from the label. This time they have the young stalwart who is making noise amongst the scene - Jake Beautyman providing a release that captures depth, groove & futuristic frequencies! The title track “Mareen Life” somewhat speaks for itself… you guessed it, this is a deep expedition that could even be described as a submarine soundscape. The drums however keep it solid enough for any dance-floor & give it a real ‘Techno’ edge. It’s a stomper. “Audio Analysts” are the brainchild of this label and it is clear to see with their remix here why they are just the right guys to run things. They take the original and step sideways, bringing new elements to the table which enhance the groove in the best of ways. A sprinkle of 303 action sets this remix apart allowing acid to one again take the centre stage. 
The tribal rhythm they have going on hits you in all the right places, making for a stern addition to the EP. B-side action brings “Afters Journey” A tune which Jake say’s was made after a series of party’s in the big city of London one weekend. He’d been out immersing himself in sounds, and like a sponge, he took those onboard. Take a listen to the outcome. It’s a journey that you could hear either at the end of a night (around 6am) or just as equally at the beginning being used to kick things off. Eerie vocals, interesting drum sequencing and luscious pads throughout. Last, but by no means least, the Wiggle legend - Terry Francis delivers an elegant rendition of the B-Side. What strikes out in this is Terry’s ability to manipulate the audio to get your body moving in an entirely new way. A hefty bouncing bassline will really test those speakers of the club you are playing in! The project as a whole has something there for all, serving as a valuable addition to have lined up in your playlists.

AR006: Mosaik Kollektif - Innerstand

Mosaik Kollektif is a multifaced project that represents the collaboration between artists Dejan Trajkov & Ivan Saramandov. They have been working together as a pair for more than 15 years as DJ’s & producers, as well as organisers to different types of events. Notable vinyl releases include EPs on labels; Roundabout Sounds, Sabotage Records, Wall of Fame, Funky Town & Midnight Riot. Mosaik’s style ranges from Funk, to Deep, to beyond… without any limits.

We begin this tasteful release with “Innerstand” - the title track which sets the tone excellently. A deep rumbling sub bass matches a tight kick & it doesn’t take long for one to start tapping their feet. As the track progresses it opens up the mind & paints vivid pictures inside with luscious pads placed beside jazzy piano licks.

“Sub Sole” serves as a melancholic, somewhat reflective, piece that uses extended build ups to create tension. We love the carefully selected percussion & mix-down on this. It’s more of an introspective song that you could take on a long walk with you… Mosaik cleverly capture the ‘Deep’ that makes up ‘Deep House’ here.

Take a trip “Under The Stars” and be transported into an after party you don’t want to leave! Mellow settings make room for a lovely breakdown that utilises tribal rhythm alongside what sounds like a Hammond riff. Top quality arrangement from the no-nonsense duo.

Now for a Funky flavoured House jam. “Down The Rabbit Hole” starts off meaning business from the very first second. The bassline sounds like it’s being played by live in front of you by Bootsy Collins & a small use of vocals plays a great role in adding to the tune. The overall movement throughout this track is brilliant, with the panning of different elements keeping ears attentive, a very real instrument led piece to get down n’ dirty to in the club.

Think of the word Church and you imagine a godlike structure, all things holy and a general feeling of spirituality. One thing you can say without any reservation is that Dean Church is certainly religious about his music.
 
Brought up in a musical family in the leafy Northern Ireland town of Banbridge, Dean quickly established himself as a major musical force to be reckoned within his local area. A local area which housed two of Ireland’s most legendary club nights, Circus Circus and The Coach.

Dean cut his musical teeth with the explosion of the rave scene in 1992 whilst attending Irelands legendary early raves like Circus Circus, Heggarty's and Kelly's.
Watching iconic DJ's such as Carl Cox, Tall Paul, Stu Allan and Sasha inspired a young Church to follow his passion and take his musical ideas to the next level.

Throughout the years Dean has been a strong figurehead in the organisation and running of excellent club nights bringing in Ministry Of Sound DJs such as Mark Wilkinson and a barrage of the nation’s finest house jockeys to Northern Ireland.

Currently Dean is the driving force behind one of Northern Irelands leading recording studio Cloud9 Studios Banbridge alongside legendary producer Graeme L (Montero, Renaissance, Whoop Records etc) and and long standing music mogul Gary Dillon (Mixmaster Records, Shine Recordings, Bassdivision, Division Music etc) Dean also works very closely alongside Cloud9 Studios in Belfast, producers and remixers for some of the biggest artists and record labels in the world.

As a DJ, anyone who has witnessed one of Dean's storming sets will testify to his amazing ability to fuse the finest in underground house beats alongside the ultimate in floorfilling grooves, a sure fire winner for every dancefloor that he has graced over the years.

As a producer Dean throws the rule book right out the window. Crunchy hypnotic grooves and tight inspirational production makes for some exciting new music. Dean inspires everyone he meets and it wasn’t long before he also teamed up with long standing DJ & producer Jonny Blevins and they formed their alter ego “Audio Analysts”..watch out for some serious deep and chunky offerings coming from these two guys over the next few months.

In a world of music saturation and release overkill it makes a welcome change to be served up such a helping of force and musical passion from an artist. One thing for certain is...Dean Church is a future force to be reckoned with and is here to stay.
