Here is the first remix pack from Christian Smith's album 'Stranger Than Paradise'. We were lucky to enlist some of our favourite new and established producers. This pack includes three remixes from NYC house legend Harry Romero ironically delivering a storming techno remix; Dutch techno legend Steve Rachmad giving us a classy, dubby and filtered mix, and upcoming Italian artist Paride Saraceni beefing up the original "Transition" track. Having been on the scene for over a decade, Wehbba has actually released a ridiculous amount of music. Labels like Tronic, 82 Recordings and Systematic have acted as a home for the artist but his forthcoming work on Padley's is some of our favourite to date.

The title track does the business but fellow Brazilian ANNA has served up the remix and it's more of the excellent same we've come to expect from the chart-topping producer. ANNA's seemingly got the golden touch and when she's not climbing the Beatport charts she's getting booked all over the world.

Premiere: Wehbba 'Turning Point' (ANNA Remix)

Elevate get their summer campaign off to a flying start with this three track EP full of international flavour and featuring some of the hottest names in the techno scene.


First up is Julian Jeweil with his track ‘Orbit’ which is a thundering bass driven monster and has been a big track for Pig&Dan since they signed just over a month or so ago. Next comes Dast, fresh from his recent release with Elevate, he brings us ‘Hypnotize’ which does just what it says with it’s soaring melodies and driving percussion. The final part of the release comes from Luca Agnelli with his track ‘Turbo’ which is an unrelenting bass heavy techno workout with snippets of vocal samples layered over the top.

All of these tracks have been given a thorough workout at the opening party at Space through to Sonar and have gone down a storm and are coming soon on Elevate.

1. Julian Jeweil Orbit

DC172 comes on behalf of Brazilian born Vinicius Honorio, a now London based producer and DJ who is making some serious in-roads amongst a new breed of techno artists. Having already released on labels such as Pig&Dan’s Elevate and dubspeeka’s Skeleton, the next natural step in his progression comes in the form of a release on Drumcode. 

‘Through The Darkness’ is a masterclass in darkened techno grooves, with each one of the four tracks managing to show off Honorio’s skill as a producer and just why he is firing on all cylinders. The release kicks off with ‘Walking Shadow’, a track that has been a key part of Adam Beyer’s sets at the tail end of 2016 and in to the new year. This tense, brooding affair has certainly garnered a lot of attention of late and it’s clear to see why. The title track ‘Through The Darkness’ is a much more of a stripped back cut, jam-packed with a haunting vocal hook, driving basslines and slick drums. This is one for the late night mischief makers. ‘Desolate’ is another hard-hitter, managing to perfectly balance that signature Honorio groove and pounding drums that adds depth to his productions. The release closes with the atmospheric ‘Out For Blood’, which is loaded with vintage rave stabs and weighty basslines – This one is meant to played in dark and sweaty rooms.
