UMEK’s label 1605 presents the sixth in its Desiderati 4 series, which is a various artist EP featuring thumping techno tracks by Rebel Boy & Sam WOLFE, Bruce Zalcer, Lazar (IT) and Loco & Jam.

Rebel Boy & Sam WOLFE open the release with a collaborative track made in the same style they have featured on other labels including Oliver Huntemann's Senso Sounds. Individually, Rebel Boy has featured on Frankyeffe’s Riot, and Sam WOLFE’s dropped music on Christian Smith’s Tronic. Their track “Black Veins” fuses heavy percussion with grinding stabs and hints of euphoria.

Track two is by Bruce Zalcer who is returning to 1605 after featuring on the last Desiderati 4 release. He has also featured on Spartaque’s Codex and Metodi Hristov’s Set About. His track “Evocation” is all about the epic breakdown and compelling synth lines layered with the punch of the kick drum.

Lazar (IT) is back on 1605 after featuring on the first of the Desiderati 4 EP's, and since his last appearance he has been busy with released on the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave to Ramon Tapia's Say What? label. Blending vocal phrases with an ominous bassline, his track “Neuron” is a dark and sadistic slice of techno.

Closing out the release is Irish duo Loco & Jam who have received international critical acclaim for their releases on labels such as Drumcode, Terminal M and Octopus amongst many others. Taking its title from the vocal sample, “Jackmaster” revolves around the modulating tones of the arpeggio lead synth and the tension building pads.

All four of these tracks are tailor made for peak time plays, but caters for a wide variety of styles depending on whether you like it hypnotic, dark, stripped back or euphoric. With something for everyone, this is music for the arsenal of any techno DJ.

For the 163rd Orange Recordings release, Karim Alkhayat and Who is Hush have joined forces for their debut ‘The Emeny Inside’ EP. Expect two hard hitting techno bangers that will sure to do damage around clubs worldwide.

Originally from Syria and based in the UAE Karim Alkayat has become a Beatport Top 100 producer in just two and a half years. His music is dark and groovy, he makes crowds dance, rave and induces instances of ecstasy and with wonderful climaxes to end his sets.

Who is Hush is known for his hard hitting and dark techno, merging DJing and live hardware performances. Ever since his first performances at Storyland Fest in Colombia he has been an artist many have kept their eye on.

Premiere: Karim Alkhayat & Who Is Hush "The Enemy Inside" - Orange Recordings

Markantonio drops a new EP on his label AnalyticTrail, which features two peak time techno tracks from the iconic Italian artist.

With a career that spans over two decades, Markantonio is well-known for his many releases on labels including Pan-Pots Second State, Spartaques Codex and Carl Coxs Intec.

Along with releasing on many of technos most prestigious record labels, he has also inspired a next generation of artists who look to him music for inspiration. Markantonios home region of Naples is a breeding ground for fresh talent, and AnalyticTrail gave early releases to the likes of Joseph Capriati and Luigi Madonna.

Both of the tracks on this EP blend compelling synth lines with explosive percussion and fast-flowing rhythms.

The Moon Again opens the release with a pulsating bassline and metallic hi-hats, while the euphoric melody adds enthralling contrast to the dark atmosphere. Seven is the more aggressive of the two tracks, and takes no prisoners with its thrashing percussion layered over a pounding kick drum fused with dramatic bursts of melody.
