نشأ في اسطنبول و كانت بداياته الموسيقية على راديو في اسطنبول في 1969
ثم إتجه إلى انتاج ألبومات موسيقية، موسيقاه ذات الطابع الشرقي الصريح، في الآلات و الألحان
موسيقى صوفية في أغلب الأحيان، يدمجها معظم الوقت بأصوات من شتى البلدان العربية و من تركيا، تنطق أحيانا بالعربية في أغانيه و أحياناً بالتركية
أنتج ثلاثة وعشرون ألبوم موسيقي حتى الآن على مدار واحد و أربعون عاماً
تقاسيمه بالناي تدرّس لشدة إتقانه و ابرازه للمقامات الموسيقية.
