All of which brings us to our newest core artist, Russia’s Dimitri Veimar. We’d like to tell you we discovered him when he and his friends shot down our Eurasian Outreach Ableton Tutorial Helicopter for being “too condescending,” but the truth is actually much simpler. Veimar is merely fluent in the universal language of floor-filling, one that transcends borders and skin-crawling descriptions alike. It is a primal tongue describing a future where all communication is elevated to an endless loop of sweat-drenched club-goers pressed tightly against the front of the stage, smiling at everything you do.

Our newest De-Konstrukt release comes from a UK native, from Paisley named Ross Hillier. Ross who has had some great success recently, having been signed to labels such as Suara, Sleaze and Elektrax has graciously provided 2 original Techno tracks, that certainly made an great impression on us. 'Cosmic Transcendence' is the name of the EP, and we are delighted to have him on the label. His 2 originals are raw, driven and cosmic, as Ross incorporates Techno sounds that seems as though are being transmitted from somewhere out in the galaxy, beaming down towards earth. He does a magnificent job in carving out his own place with his uniquely diversified sound in his 2 originals. 

On the remix duties, there is no shortage of talent on this one. We are proud to bring you Ukrainian DJ and Producer, the widely popular Yan Cook, remixing the main track Cosmic Transcendence. Yan goes straight to it, and keeps the momentum going with his brilliant remix. Following right behind him, we have Argentinian producer Juan Trujillo, as he completely smashes 'Back To Reality' with his powerful rendition. This a conclusion of project landed as the first VA vinyl gathering the quality of the techno stage of Tbilisi in a dyptic release, both accompanied by a bonus track. One object in two fragments, both complimenting each other.

At the boarder between tradition and pulsating desire for change, it was impossible to describe the Georgian Sonic soundscapes without finding its roots in the old wine making tradition. There is no meal or reference without wine, just like there would not be this rising culture of artists without their thoughts for change, filled with the desire to bring a game-changing wind of change to the front of the scene, being musical or political.

Linear B builds on the success of his June release, Charon’s Crossing, with another superb techno offering on his own well regarded Rainbow Tipi, this time with a remix from Banshee.

After support has come in from tastemakers like DVS1, Noncompliant and Truncate, British artist Linear B is now right at the vanguard of the scene himself. He makes music that blurs the line between house and techno - it is always powerful and all consuming, but also comes with a wealth of subtle detail that makes a lasting impact.

Enter the Arena' came about after Linear B went to see Sasha & Digweed play a warehouse event in Amsterdam and the excitable crowd were high and happy on nitrous balloons (which are legal to sell in clubs in Amsterdam). "I settled into the night making little mental notes," he explains, "hence the words in the track, 'I remember now, this is how it is, this is how it's always been, which way will you run, which way will you fly, when you enter the arena.'” The result is a paranoid track with a menacing lead and the dark vocals, all on top of a rubbery, kinked techno groove that loops to perfection. The Banshee remix is a twisted techno stomper with a wild lead that will freak out the floor late into the night.
The excellent 'Can't Get Right' is the sound of Linear B dealing with everyday pressures and channeling that through music, which he uses as a way of escaping the mundane nature of daily life. What he comes up with is an atmospheric groove with slick hits and toms and slithering bass that draws you deep inside.

Last of all, 'Superhugs' is a techno love song, which was a secret project to send to his girlfriend on Valentine's Day while she was away in Seville. "I sang it in a 1920s crooner style with a radio mic, it kinda sounds sinister and scary." It is a twitchy, unsettling track with a spooky atmosphere and yet more superb sound design.

Linear B’s fine run of form continues apace on this standout new EP.

Marek Nalikowski - Hack The Fear EP [bts003]

BTS collective is proud to present the third release on their label: ‘Hack The Fear’ EP by Marek Nalikowski. The Polish producer’s debut digi EP consists of 3 original tracks backed with remixes from ISNT, Abu Zeinah, and Piotr Figiel.
Opening the set is ‘Spin System’, a big room roller more than apt for proper peak time action. Nalikowski ups the tempo on ‘Rattlesnake’, a fast and furious affair hammering down relentlessly from start to finish. The final original is the title track ‘Hack The Fear’ which sees the producer switch to stepping mode, the result being a funky and bleepy workout complete with a menacing, cyberdelic atmosphere.

The EP continues with Piotr Figiel’s remix of ‘Hack The Fear’, a tense stomper showcasing his signature style. Following next is ISNT’s reinterpretation of ‘Spin System’ which com- bines an infectious, raw groove with unexpected breakdowns. Finally, Abu Zeinah delivers another remix of ‘Hack The Fear’ driven by a manic synth line with elements of the original carefully built around it.
