His new album, The Gambler, is more than eight tracks in the dub techno genre—it is a musical reinterpretation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel The Gambler. Every sound, every vibration feels like a roll of the dice, leading the listener into deep, almost mystical labyrinths of the human psyche.

It begins with “Alexei Ivanovich”—an introspection of a hero teetering between passion and madness. “Polina Alexandrovna” shrouds you in melancholy and mystery, as if the music tells its own secret intrigues. “General” resonates with authority and order, while “Madame de Cominges” gently draws you into an elegant game of seduction and manipulation. “Marquis de Grieux” is a rhythmic elegy of desire, “Mr Astley” hints at hidden motives and perilous games, “Mlle Blanche” transports you into a light, almost ethereal illusion, and “Potapych” concludes the album, leaving a lingering sense of contemplative longing and the inevitability of fate.

Each composition by Francesco Tamburrano is crafted with the precision of an alchemist: deep motifs intertwine with spatial effects, creating the sensation that the sound breathes alongside you. This album is an experiment at the boundaries of time, space, and emotion.

His love and admiration for this powerful river and the places it reveals served as an inspiration to tell this story of magic and ancient wisdom that still is present today for those who are able and willing to listen to the nature and it's spirits. The original track has been reworked by sound alchemists who already contributed lots of  quality music to the organic ethnic downtempo scene. Ibu Selva creates a trippy ceremonial ambience for a deep dubby journey on the slowed down dancefloor. Tomanka turns the original into a hypnotic and enchanting benevolent groove-monster and Steffen Ki paints a vivid colorful picture with dreamy ambient soundscapes, sweet melodies and organic percussion sounds.
