Kabir was a 15th century mystic poet of north India. He weaves profound facts in a very simple fashion making a direct connection with even the mundane chores of our daily lives. Among the various songs that he has sung, this song is yet another in which, he urges the seeker to see beyond the duality and the illusion and understand and experience the uniting principle of all lives.

This is one of the popular versions, and this time Sounds of Isha has rendered an abridged version of it.

“Eppadi Thaan…” was written by OothukaduVenkataSubbaiyar, and looks at life from the perspective of a devotee (of Krishna, in this song).
The song describes how once a person is devout, all they see is sweetness around them. The buzzing of bees becomes a song, Krishna’s mischief become endearing pranks, and his many heroics become awe-inspiring legends. Such is the sweetness of devotion that it transform’s the devotees experience of life in powerful ways.

An enchanting and deeply healing mix of singing bowls and assorted natural musical instruments in conjuction with voices, Nadha Aradhana is a live offering that enables listeners to slip effortlessly into a receptive mode, making them available to the divine energies and Grace of the Dhyanalinga, and allowing them to experience deep states of meditation.

Every Nadha Aradhana ia an unfailingly moving experience. Emerging as it does from a state of deep interiority, it is an expression of the performers’ reverence and love – a response to the powerful presence of the Dhyanalinga. The soothing tone of the singing bowls sets the tone, inviting listeners to delight in an arabesque of pure sounds, unmediated by sahitya or lyrical content. Composed by Sounds of Isha on the occasion of Dakshinayana or the summer solstice, this special song was performed during Sadhguru's Dakshinayana sathsang at the Isha Yoga Center on June 21 this year. The Tamil lyrics were written by Sri Marabin Maindhan Muthiah, and encapsulate the significance and science of Dakshinayana as explained on the yogic path, emphasizing the possibility that this period of the year represents.
