This is my rendition of the old Malayalam folk song Chekele.

The song was made famous by the Malayali rockers Avial. And further covered by Thikkudam Bridge and Sanjeev Thomas.

This is my first attempt to experiment with both my clean singing and my malayalam singing.. so excuse me if my pronunciation is fucked up in places.

Sketch 1 : It's Cold

After spending hours cracking my head on how to install the new GetGood Drums Modern and Massive drum pack, it was bedtime. But I HAD to test it out on Sakura. Here is the stock kit out of the box, no added effects (i boosted the cymbals, maybe too much) with an ON/OFF of the rest of the instruments on the ending lick of "Sakura"

I'm blown away with the samples. I'm going to focus on mapping velocity hits more accurately and replace the drums soon! STOKED!!! Give it a listen!

Sakura - GetGood Drums Modern and Massive Quick Test

New DRUM sounds!! Bought GetGood Drums Modern and Massive yesterday and slapped it on the old MIDI drum file written for Renkinjutsu. Quickly tracked the guitars and this is what I ended up with. It's a very basic mix. The guitars and bass are mixed the usual way, but the drums are how they sound out of the box. There is a small reverb on the snare and I boosted the snare bottom, but all within GGD itself!!! I am so excited to see what I can do with this!!

Here's some proof that I've been working on a live solo set for Last Known Surroundings. Melbourne will be the first to witness the revamped (and hopefully more immersive) versions of a lot of the old songs as well as the debut of some new ones. All of this real soon! Also so stoked to use Addictive Keys MK1 and GetGood Drums on these!!
