@rogergerressen was born in Arnhem (the Netherlands), raised on early 90’s hiphop in Nijmegen. As a kid, always drawn to making mixtapes and fiddling around with the old records in the attic, but never realizing he’d be ending up creating music and playing records. His passion for movies and hiphop kept him occupied. It took a giant (first) rave on his 18th birthday to see the real potential of house music and his objective was clear. In the years following he got the chance to warm up crowds on a regular basis at the legendary Planet Rose clubnights, which made his hometown Nijmegen an excellent place to develop his skills as a warm up DJ and to obtain a broad taste in music. The dutch town always had a strong history in electronic music, but remained small enough not to be influenced by trends or hypes: a perfect spot to create your own sound and identity, playing alongside the greats.
After his first solo releases on the local Wolfskuil Records he co-founded @eshu-records in 2011. Recognision came after a string of well received solo releases on @fear-of-flying-recordings (and sub-label SuddenDrop), his many collaborations with @ivanotetelepta and numerous other collabs (like @dilatedpupilsnl, ARC# and Novio Dub Tribe). A few years down the line it was time for a new direction which resulted in parting ways with ESHU to start his own label OGUN Records and a few monikers (like the recent Monoaware and less recently Gasometric Run) to provide him with the creative freedom he was looking for. Since he joined Paris based @yoyaku (label/store/distribution) he had the chance to release music on a few of the recordstore’s in-house labels like Joule Imprint, Aku and Tartouffe and on the renowned label @sushitech. With their support, he set up two more labels to meet his output; Irenic Records and Autodidact Records.

The compilation "Get Together" enters a new round and gathers four artists to take a journey into electronic music together again. Maxie König opens the gathering with warm basses and sparkling chords in her track "TenTen". The unmistakable groove immediately carries us away and drives us straight onto the dance floor, where the no less deep track "Dezest" by Dip resounds through the speakers. Here we float on the smooth strings of the recurring sound waves, which one can hardly resist. Ana Antonova takes up this beautiful flow in her fascinating track "Naked Neighbour" and adds jazzy melodic elements that are interwoven with original sounds to create a fabulous, versatile sound story. Finally, Cie picks up the bass and groove again and reflects the wonderful atmosphere of this gathering with the harmonic strings in "Haus Im Turm", making you want to put this record on „again“ and „again“.

Porto Etno is an international festival of world music and gastronomy that has been continuously held in Rijeka since 2017. The festival is based on the 20-year tradition of the Etno Smotra event, which showcased the cultures of national minorities active in the city and county of Rijeka. It gained its new form and name, Porto Etno, as part of the Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture project. Since 2020, the Croatian Cultural Center in Sušak (HKD) has taken over the organization.

The goal of the festival is to promote multiculturalism, diversity, and tolerance through music and gastronomy. Since 2022, Porto Etno Festival has become a part of the European network MOST Music, whose mission is to empower the music market in the Balkans by connecting and supporting artists, festivals, clubs, and institutions in the global music market.

While recording the set, there were some minor techinical difficulties. Due to those difficulties, the final product is a little bit shorter than it was originally planned. Put aside the problem, realistic duration of the set was 90 minutes.

The third edition of "Croatia Gets Physical" EP series features brand new tracks by Ana Antonova, Evren Ulusoy & Tome R and it also comes with a superb Marina Karamarko's remix of "Tamo" by Andrea Ljekaj. Andrea is, of course, one of the driving forces behind this project and will be responsible for the next editions. 

From superbly smooth and seductive house vibes to the industrial mood, this EP shows the full potential of Croatian artists who are now all set for big things on the international scene.

For this edition, artists prepared a special live stream to celebrate a release of the EP with their audience. The location is one of Rijeka's most beautiful rooftop's and you can watch the live stream on Tuesday the 21st of April via Facebook, YouTube or Twitch from 19:00 - 21:00h CET.

One who flows easily in the underground scene as well as on bigger stages should be called adaptable, but for Ana Antonova that is an understatement;  too shallow of a description. She enjoys exploring the depths of various genres, so you can never know what to expect, but surely you will flow onto a journey with her.  She has an appetite for groove, through which she builds up her sets, whether they are in a stuffy club or an outdoor venue. 

Coming from the island Krk and growing up in a music-cherishing family has undeniably influenced her eclectic but cohesive and wondrous taste. Now, she has evolved and established her career that does not part from who she really is. Being a part of the scene for 15 years has shaped her career in a way that her status is almost indestructible. Her spunky but humble spirit has gained regional appreciation, and her sense of innovation, braveness of trying something different has made her more than essential to Croatian up and coming underground territory.

As of her empirical achievements, she has gained her first bigger recognition in 2015 by winning her debut at Illectricity Festival through a newcomer contest. After that, she embarks on a successful and exciting journey of recognition, from winning an “Ambasador” award for a “Lady of Croatian’s electronic music”, to gaining respect and being given an opportunity to lead and co-host series of events called Fitness! in Rijeka’s electronic music cores - Club Crkva. Being named in Mixmag Adria as one of most successful regional female selectors was just one of many examples of her being refreshing and skillful on the scene. 

Antonova’s DJing was and still is special and reliable, that’s why she had numerous gigs across the country and further.
Other than that, one of significant details of her DJing career is that she started another series of events that hold place at Club Tunel, Rijeka which howls for everyone and anyone that has a sweet tooth for music - Caramel, through which she dedicates the night to various genres - e.g. nu soul, jazz house - that shaped her style from earlier days ‘til today.
Her contemporary and evergrowing style has led to her applying her passion to lots of collaborations, most of them being linked to Marina Karamarko with whom she organises Solis Ocassum, an event that focuses on Sundays and their afternoon party potential. Lately Ana Antonova has had her hands full, from her first EP , “Habay” being signed with Conceptual records which got released on February 2019. to Antonova and Karamarko collaborating once again through production; editing Billie Eilish’s song “Bury a friend” which once more proved that she can easily play on both terrains: underground and commercial, while being and staying an enjoyable part of Croatia’s club culture.
