The funky and raw “All Over The World” is the debut single off Declaime & Madlib’s collaborative album, ‘In The Beginning (Vol. 1),’ which unearths and compiles tracks from the duo’s work together in the mid-’90s.

Longtime fans of both artists already know that these two go way back with a slew of collaborations, like ‘Illmindmuzik’ (1999), ‘Andsoitisaid’ (2001), ‘A Lil’ Light’ (2003) and ‘Expressions’ (2012), all under Declaime’s Dudley Perkins moniker. But with ‘In The Beginning,’ we’re hearing the roots of it all from these gifted, multi-talented artists who lived across the street from another as kids and whose fathers were friends.

“Madlib was on that musical genius stuff way back then … [but] we both moved and lost contact,” Declaime explains. It wasn’t until years later when Madlib formed The Lootpack that the two reconnected, with the end result being tracks like “All Over the World,” which features another longtime collaborator, MED, on the opening verse.

As Declaime explains, slappers like “All Over the World” existed on various mixtapes and B-sides throughout the years, but got “lost in the sauce for nearly two and a half decades.” But no more, because we’re hearing musical history with the release of this single and the remainder of In The Beginning when it drops.

“All Over the World” is available now through all major digital retailers and streaming platforms and can be purchased for instant-grat off the iTunes’ pre-order for ‘In the Beginning (Vol. 1),’ due out Friday, July 02. The 13 track LP of previously unreleased jewels will also be available on vinyl and CD via SomeOthaShip Connect in partnership with Fat Beats Records!

This was a tough one. Anarchitact hooked us up with the first version of the remix. Dopeasdope but our hook wasn't up the par. In fact all of a sudden we realised we are not very good singers. (Stadium/soccer/hooligan anthems will do!) So we got rid of the original chorus and asked Rhythmatic to drop by and drink coffee. Liv couldn't resist & Syah cut it up deep cover, so hey, Here it is!

I wrote this song for my upcoming album, "80Hrtz" many months ago. This album isn't finished yet, but I can't sit by and not share this song with you all right now. The paranoia, bigotry, ignorance, and gang mentality being displayed by police over and over again in this country makes me nauseous. I wrote this song about being ignorant to my friends feelings of fear, and hatred towards the police, being the one white kid in the group most of the time. I sampled the movie "Colors" where the main officer was nicknamed "Pac-man" by the neighborhood folks he terrorized. This song is dedicated to every person angered and saddened by the events unfolding in Ferguson. An American city, under siege by its own Police force. Black people under siege, once again. Racism, alive and well. My love to everyone in pain over this madness.

Me, Ive always had an issue with the mans authority,
and within the circle that I ran I was minority, meaning
my friends had darker skin than I and that was just
a fact, if you saw me with my friends and I, you might
thought I was black too,
but not to the neighborhood cops, a blatant racist flip-flop,
on the avenues of L.A, segregating me with ease,
feeling so uncomfortable around the man that they would freeze.
To which Id be like, "we did nothing wrong at the mall today

To Pacman, chased under the streetlights, by the ghosts of
those they stopped illegally or shot at leisurely moments,
paranoid by opponents, as opposed to those they should
be protecting, and so its a battle between the oppressed,
and the oppressor, and confessions forcibly removed from
the tongue of the youth, with no truth, no justice, just torture
and power trips, causing out bursts and hatred for the LAPD.
I could truly never understand what it feels like to have
brown skin in L.A and get pulled over for no reason.
Its in season every day of the week, the suspicion, 
under the seat.."whatcha got, weed, guns, ammunition..??"
Standing so far back from the window, acting like your gonna
get shot automatically, paranoia, boy-a, gonna cause another
riot.

stop attempting to emasculate my black friends cuz they make more
