KLAWD - Final Boss 001 (The Underfighters)

Created by KLAWD and TRIPDOORS, two residents of Tunisia’s Rabota and Anarchytect collectives, PunkStrike 1.6 is a groundbreaking moment for African electronic music. As the first electropunk/technopunk collaborative EP from the continent, it stands as a testament to rebellion, raw energy, and a rejection of conformity.

Both KLAWD and TRIPDOORS hail from the hoods of Grand Tunis, bringing their unique street culture into this project. KLAWD, a graffiti writer rooted in subway graffiti culture from Hammam-Lif, grew up as a hip-hop head and visual storyteller. TRIPDOORS, who grew up in Sidi Hsin Sijoumi and is now based in Hammamet, started his journey as a trap and boom-bap producer in the Tunisian rap scene. Together, they break stereotypes about Tunisian electronic music, rejecting the notion that it’s just an enhancement to "drug experiences." Instead, they make music for the streets to rebel against the system, stand up for rights, unity, and create a movement grounded in values and authenticity.

Every track in PunkStrike 1.6 is an assault a declaration of self-identity. With distorted basslines, punchy drums, and Tunisian vocal samples, it paints a picture of resistance and rebellion. The EP reflects the mindset of: "This is who we are, and you have no choice but to accept us. We’re different, we have our own style, and we’ll inspire you to be more like yourself." In a community where people are constantly trying to change themselves to fit in, KLAWD and TRIPDOORS stand for self-pride and real self-acceptance. "Be yourself, be proud of who you are, as we are. Many don’t accept the fact that we’re 'hood,' raw, and direct. We are who we are, and we’re proud of it."

de_dust2 – The explosive intro and lead track. Inspired by the Counter-Strike 1.6 culture of their youth, it captures the thrill and chaos of gaming in Tunisian "publinets." With punchy breakbeats, acidic bass, and iconic Counter-Strike vocals, the track mirrors the rebellious spirit of teenagers betting on "terrorists" vs. "cops" in a dictatorship environment.

Blacklisted – An electropunk reimagination of Mick Gordon’s "The Only Thing They Fear Is You" from DOOM Eternal. It’s the official theme song of the Anarchytect collective, sampling a vocal from a Tunisian YouTube series: "What do you think about the gang I have? The police are constantly checking my house." The track represents the collective’s reputation as a "gang" or "3isaba" using art to resist systemic oppression.

Sijoumi Killa (Sijoumi Punk Boiz) – This track evolved from an EBM/TBM bassline style into a technopunk anthem of resistance. Named after the Tunisian neighborhood of Sijoumi, it highlights systemic injustice, featuring a news reporter audio clip speaking about a man waiting 22 years for government housing. The distorted basslines and relentless energy reflect the rage and resilience of the underprivileged.

Jme3et LeLecTroOo – A chaotic, playful finale. With vocals mocking themselves as "jme3et lelectro" (the electro boys), the track switches between happy, cartoonish melodies and distorted, aggressive basslines (inspired by the Powerpuff Girls theme). Its unpredictable structure reflects the EP’s anarchic and experimental spirit.

Debuted live at the last Anarchytect edition, PunkStrike 1.6 sent the crowd into a frenzy. It draws inspiration from metal bands, electropunk pioneers, EBM, video games, comics, memes, and Tunisian street culture. This distorted, bass-heavy banger challenges the system and amplifies the voices of the underground a call to rebellion, unity, and self-expression.

TRIPDOORS, as the African electropunk leader, and Flow Tha Key, the daring voice of Toxic Club, have created a sonic revolution. By merging multiple genres, this collaboration transcends boundaries and connects the raw energies of three powerful collectives: Toxic Club, ANARCHYTECT, and The Underfighters.

Their message is clear and defiant they are here to dismantle the exploitative structures of labels that only see art as a profit machine, disregarding the soul of the underground. The track honors Cheb Terro, a symbol of the underground’s resilience, keeping his legacy alive as a guardian of true culture.

With gritty production, bold vocals, and a mission to unite communities, this project is more than music it’s a declaration of war against cultural appropriation and a pledge to keep the underground uncorrupted, loud, and untamed.
