Tripping music, dancing with organic Reprazent-break-infinity, saxophone melodies, Neu-Kraut-transcendence, nervous drones, gloomy bass figures, minimal pop and manic computer malfunctioning tones. All wrapped in a warm void of Melancholie, touching the eternal with murky gloves. Pointillist tunes, thoughtfully peculiar, seriously serious. Now is all they need. Now is all they want.

Andreja Salpe is known for his creativity and unique sound in making electronic music that echoes the modern dancefloor groove. His track ‘𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝’ leads us to a realm of groovy techno bits electrified with guitar riffs and tribal motions.

L.O.V.D is the imminent producer who doesn’t hesitate to play live and when performing brings the best to the audience. Active for some time, he gradually builds his distinctive sound. His track ‘𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬’ is a proper downtempo techno tune with a generic voice overflowing the rhythm and filling the atmosphere.

We are happy this release has remixes by two young and talented producers. ‘Ice Cold’ remix by 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 drives us to a hypnotic atmosphere of industrial underground techno. He is one of the producers modelling the emerging modern Mexican electronic music.

‘Human Conditions’ remix by the uprising Lithuanian producer 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 reveals the song in a more minimalistic way with an increased dynamic that creates a danceable ambience.

In 2016, after reissuing two Bruce Haack albums, Haackula and Electric Lucifer Book II, Telephone Explosion began speaking with Ted Pandel (Bruce’s lifelong friend and business partner) about working on the 1970 masterpiece The Electric Lucifer. It turned out there was another matter that he wanted to discuss: finding a final resting place for the Bruce Haack archive.

We were shown test-pressings of The Electric Lucifer board mixes from his Columbia studio sessions, countless pieces of written music, a large number of personal photos, an invitation from Raymond Scott inviting Bruce to play his newly created Electronium instrument (now owned by Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh), poems, press clippings, and, most importantly, a heavy-duty shelf containing 213 reel-to-reel tapes. 

All of the chosen material on The Preservation Tapes is unreleased, and has only been heard by a handful of people. 

The Bruce Haack archive is now resting in the Provincial Archives of Alberta, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

It was 2010 when Massimiliano Pagliara and Discodromo got together and started working on Costellazione K78. It’s finally time to reveal this piece of  italo-cosmic beauty landing on Cocktail d’Amore Music.
The spaceship starts off and a vocoder announces the destination. In the middle of the track there is an interference…Is that a hole? Oh right they are out of it! Going higher, higher…higher through space-time. 
B side is taken by a dub version where drums play the main role. Everything is condensing together, it feels like connection is lost, but the bass line comes in and takes control. Destination reached, time to celebrate.

Identified Patient drops another calamitous record on Pinkman - 4 dungenous slowbeat cuts, brimming with energy, emotion and attitude. The EP kicks off with Geen Syndroom where jaded, murky melodies go in tandem with sexy bass lines and an obliterating broken drum beat. Thereafter, Nog Steeds High Van De Lak progressively evokes feelings of desolation and melancholia, while carrying an aggressive punch and irresistible groove. Do the flip to find two more ferocious productions in Ver Verwijderd Van Vermoeid and Haar Glans Altijd Strak. The former grips you firmly with bubbling acid and machine gun snares on the backdrop of violent kicks. The latter ends the voyage entrancingly with hypnotic synth lines, whiplash-snares and rattlesnake-hats.

The Hague-based label Oracle Bones return for their second release following February's inaugural release from JEANS. Continuing the influences heard on that release like trance, techno and jungle, Amsterdam's Rigson also adds flavours like acid, electro and techno into the mix across the four tracks. Our pick, 'Logical Rudeness', is a haunting electro cut, carried along by rumbling bass and hypnotic synth lines.
