Being at the center of Haile Selassie’s teaching, "Balance" is also a key concept of the Rastafari Livity inspiring reggae singer Alpha D to write a song on the subject.

Originally recorded on one of Injham’s heavy weight dub instrumentals, the tune’s powerful lyrics and flow caught the ears of Apocalypse Dub Faction (UK) who revisited it, creating his own vocal version along with 2 exclusive, earth-shaking, dub versions.

Alpha D was honored when his old friend and partner in Dub, Moshi Kamachi, accepted to release this project on his mighty record label King Dub Records adding as a bonus track a song called "Vision" that Alpha D and Dhamma Djarra had recorded together on another powerful Injham riddim. 

A mixture of conscious lyrics, enchanting melodies and booming basslines, KDR022 will be enjoyed by all roots and culture sound system lovers. As a free download, all we ask is that you help promote the message by sharing the music with all your friends.

Sometimes strong talent demands quick follow-ups, and when Liondub International and Adam Prescott first linked with “Technique” they wasted no time in making a strong move to secure more of the heavyweight sound from this producer. Featuring an all-star cast of Reggae artists including Sugar Minott (RIP), Ranking Joe, Johnny Osbourne, Jahdan Blakkamore, Metric Man, and Junior Dangerous, “Heavenless Riddim Story” presents a modern take on the classic one riddim album, packed with pressure from top vocal talent. The original “Heavenless Version” falls between digi-dub and dubstep, with low-bit sound effects, classic brittle dancehall drums and fat bass, and the producer subtly flips the riddim in different directions for each new version. Jahdan’s “No Bad Vibes” shows off his versatile deejaying while distorted bass billows out from underneath, while Johnny Osbourne’ “Dubplate Medley” borrows portions of his famous passages drawn through a heavy haze of effects which has garnered worldwide support from luminaries like David Rodigan and Iration Steppas. Both Junior Dangerous and Ranking Joe summon classic dancehall style when they flex, with Dangerous taking the more aggressive route while Joe twists his tongue and shouts in his fine style; Metric Man and Pad Anthony deploy contrasting sing-jay styles over two of the more drastic reworks of the riddim. Finally, the dearly departed guest of honor is Sugar Minott, whose “Soundboy Killing” strips the version back to foreground bass and percussion and leaves the focus clearly on his inimitable vocal style.  With eight distinctive interpretations from Prescott and a clutch of roots’ and contemporary reggae’s best vocal performers, “Heavenless Riddim Story” unites generations in the dancehall with fresh sounds from one of today’s most promising upcoming talents.

Fatis Tapes in the Oven' is the first volume in an ongoing series from the extraordinary works of  Philip 'Fatis' Burrell who founded Xterminator Productions. The collection of rare and unreleased tapes is curated by Fatis's son, Kareem 'Remus' Burrell who was working very closely in the studio with his father, close to the time of Philip 'Fatis' Burrell's untimely passing in 2011.

Fatis is most known for his productions with reggae giants: Sizzla, Luciano & Beres Hammond. Kareem has dug through his father's old crates to unveil some rare alternate cuts of classics such as Luciano's 'Give Thanks' from his classic album 'One Way Ticket' and Tanya Stephen's 'Tonight'. Kareem also discovered some treasures from relatively unknown artists such as 'Jah Protect Me' from Gott Yo & Judgement morning from Peter Franks. Of note is 'Distance Away' which was recorded in 1997 during the sessions for one Sizzla's greatest albums, 'Praise ye Jah'.  XTM. Nation presents 'Fatis: Tapes In The Oven' Volume 1 will be available in all digital stores on March 30, 2018.

"Ranking Dread born Winston Brown; (1955 – 1996)was a Jamaican reggae deejay who grew up in the Kingston ghettos of Rema and Tivoli. He became famous for his work with the Ray Symbolic sound system in the 1970s. His later years in the UK and North America were dogged by legal issues.

Ranking Dread first became known as a deejay on the Ray Symbolic sound system in Jamaica, but by the late 1970s he had moved to London, where he worked with Lloyd Coxsone's sound system.
 He released four albums starting with Girls Fiesta in 1978, produced by Linval Thompson, and worked with producer Sugar Minott on his third album, Lots of Loving.
 He had a minor UK hit in the early 1980s with "Fattie Boom Boom", but in the mid-1980s, he faded from the music scene and became more notorious for his criminal activities, where he was labelled "the most dangerous man in Britain and the number one Yardie Godfather".
 This was backed up by his appearance on a British television programme in the late 1980s entitled The Cook Report. However, when interviewed by TV Journalist Ben Chin in 1990 for a Canadian TV documentary, he denied all allegations put to him.
 He had been involved with Jamaican gang leader Claude Massop, and was wanted by Jamaican police. He travelled to the United Kingdom, where he lived under several aliases including Errol Codling, became the head of a Hackney drug-dealing and armed robbery gang, He was arrested at an illegal drinking club in 1988 and found to be in possession of illegal drugs and deported later that year, officially for entering the country illegally, after being branded the most dangerous foreign national living in Britain.
He was eventually extradited back to Jamaica where he died in prison in 1996".
