After the debut release in 2020 (Fred Locks & Sabolious – No To Racism EP), Anaves Music now showcases a collaborative project with a group of Austrian musicians and producers. The creative outcome is obviously characterised by the jazzy voice of Thera P., who really gave an emotive performance with her significant lyrics. The track’s original version was produced by Sabolious, who is also the label owner of Anaves Music. Furthermore, the release features two phenomenal remixes created by Monsieur Knabberdub and Three Lake Music. Since each track reveals its own style and genre, The Secret delivers a diverse range of sounds, reaching from world music and dancehall to dub and hip-hop. Mixing and mastering has been done by Korbi from Semitone. He gave this release a sophisticated finish.

INFO zum SONG:

Der sehr amüsante Dialekt-Text von STÜNGÖ, einem Musik-Urgestein des Salzkammerguts, und DYNOMITE, dem FM4 Protestsongcontest-Gewinner 2020 aus Vöcklabruck, handelt von der sommerlichen Attersee-Zeit, wenn alle im Badefieber sind und sich vom Sommer treiben lassen.
Die Musik wurde vom Vöcklabrucker Multiinstrumentalist Jakob Rieder komponiert und aufgenommen. Der Text stammt auch großteils von ihm sowie von Dino Izic (alias Dynomite).

Am 17. Juli wurde der Song über Anaves Music, dem noch jungen Musiklabel des gebürtigen Schörflingers Sebastian Schwager, auf allen digitalen Plattformen (Spotify, itunes, Youtube, etc.) veröffentlicht.

Anaves Music presents "Free Your Mind", a 4-track EP featuring the incredible Italian-Senegalese singer Awa Fall (also known as Sista Awa). Strongly characterised by her powerful lyrics and interpretation, this release showcases reggae in a rootical stepper style including a vocals version, horns version plus two heavy dub versions by Bukkha and Vale. The track’s original version was composed by Austrian saxophonist Sabolious, who is also the label owner of Anaves Music. Furthermore, the release features nyahbinghi percussions played by I-Mitri Counteraction. Mastering has been done by Alpha Steppa, who gave this release a superb finish.

"Almost midnight, she's still awake...", sings Thera P. (aka Theresa Pribasnig) at the beginning of her new song "Still", already the second single production by Anaves Music and the singer from Vienna. With this song, Thera P. wants to draw attention to the situation of people in precarious living conditions. Existing social inequalities and poverty have intensified since Corona, certain groups are particularly often left behind in the current difficult times.
The musical lightness of the soulful reggae rhythm contrasts with the haunting, serious message of the song. Accompanied by soulful piano and saxophone sounds from David Koberger and Sebastian Schwager, the thoughtful lyrics nestle beautifully with the track's sophisticated harmonies by means of Thera P.'s distinctive voice. German dub expert Umberto Echo provides the perfect finishing touches to the sound and also contributes an instrumental dub version, which you can pre-listen to exclusively here on Soundcloud.
