Anchor West was formed by musicians Alex Hand and David Knicker in 2014. Both former band mates in the Orange County, CA based punk band, “105 Fuego”, Dave and Alex had 10+ years of writing, recording, and performing original music together. 

As founding member of 105 Fuego in 2004, David and Alex began working tirelessly on their sound and performed for years all across Orange County & Los Angles. The band released there first EP titles Subject-B in 2006. Their original song “Last Forever” was even noticed by Kat Corbett of KROQ and the track was often played on her “Locals Only” radio show. 

Around 2008, the group officially changed their name from 105 Fuego to Doubting November. Under this name, the group released a 5 song self titled EP in 2009. Doubting November, formerly 105 Fuego, officially disbanded in 2010.

After almost a 4 years hiatus￼, David & Alex got together for a casual jam sesh and realized they had some unfinished business. They found a new sound. Ditching the dirty punk vibe, they agreed to take a different route musically with a new alternative concept in mind.

After writing a few new songs together, the idea of adding a female vocalist into the mix was suggested and brought to fruition. A former choir singer, Shauna Goodman, joined and began contributing her own unique sound to the tracks.

Needing some bass, Paul Cruz, a seasoned professional, long time music school instructor, and former 105 Fuego member agreed to return.
