This track is basically a giant seamless loop of itself thanks to some tricky editing in Sound Forge. It's essentially a remix of an improv that started off pretty loose, got crazy, then smashed into a dead, messy planet.

Under Outter Higher Gone

This track.... This endless dirge. One of my absolute favorites. The guitar is made out of baby stars, and red molten lava. The drums march forward , despite being covered in rain and the rusted halos of forgotten angels. It was late summer and the first time we had got together since the passing on of my father. Drummer Sid had loaned the practice space a small scale Ibanez four string bass. I ended up tuning it like a violin, except for the fattest string which I tuned down to a dark "D". That little, cheap, beautiful red bass ends up singing something wordless, dark, sad, and beautiful. I dedicate this to my late father, Raymond J. Raths who was an all around amazing human being. He joined the navy when was just 17 or so, to fight in WWII, and ended up floating around the South Pacific on big supply ship helping to fire a giant, deafening cannon at enemy aircraft on at least one occasion. He went on to marry my mother, and build a couple of home made boats he named after his children. He made me toys out of scrap metal from the machine shop he worked at when I was a kid. He taught me how to fish, and to respect nature and just... THINK. Download this and listen at your convienience as loud as possible. Be a human again for eight minutes. (Don't be afraid of the ghosts, they're your only light.)

  We wrote most of our material collectively, and we did a lot of recording, and quite often it was all improvised. We'd just make it up as we went, feeding of one another, and surfing the sound waves.
