Hailing from Joburg, South Africa, and now based in Bristol, UK, @lo_chi is DJ and producer carving out a unique space in the realms of bass music and techno. His sound, defined by deep sub-bass, sharp textures and dark atmospheres, showcases a mastery of syncopation and hypnotic rhythms. With contemporaries like Henry Greenleaf, Sub Basics and Javano, along with support from influential figures such as Lamont or Yak, Lo Chi is an artist deserving greater recognition in the current electronic music landscape.

“Dead Man’s Switch” marks Lo Chi’s sophomore EP and his debut solo release on Dead Trax, following contributions to the label’s various artists compilations. Featuring 5 original cuts that range from 120 to 130 BPM, DDTX005 is a testament to his creativity and versatility, reflecting the innovative spirit of Bristol’s underground sound.

In Lo Chi’s words, “this EP concludes some moments within my continued practice in production; Some inspired by trips to Berlin’s club scene, some galvanised by mid winter days inside with cyclical rhythm. Each track feels to be a principal example of its palette, extended over 6 years. Love to Henry, Ed, Dean, Benji and Tony for their continued faith.”

Rolling and Thatching is the second track featured in Joe Farr's RPM EP. 

On January 29th Joe Farr will make his Bloc debut with a three-track EP, titled 'RPM'.

Farr has a diverse catalogue, with three well-received releases on Turbo as well as records with DSNT, Leisure System and Power Vacuum. Few producers can claim to have remixed Tiga and been remixed by Truss.

Though Farr has an extensive history with Bloc, this will be his first outing on the label, a release that incorporates sounds that both Bloc and Joe are famed for.
The first track, 'RPM' features prominently in the Bloc festival trailer and is the soundtrack to the 2016 event. Hissing high hats and an atmospheric baseline quickly develop into an explosive anthem designed to get feet moving. 'Rolling and Thrashing' conveys an immediate punch of 90’s acid, followed by techno heavy 'Workout Three' with crunching beats and an unremitting delivery worthy of the Berghain dance floor.

Born from within the capitals neglected walls and spaces, Øliver's musical interests lay at an intersection between raw Post-Punk, sharp EBM and machine-cut Techno. 

Working with a DIY aesthetic, the alias was founded on a non-purist approach, a resistance against convention.

In Turkey, more and more women+ are facing brutal forms of misogyny every day, facing harassment on a daily basis; rapes and femicides are being normalized by the current system and these kinds of violence are becoming a normal state where women feel themselves even more helpless under the law.

Just as many of the human activities, experiencing music is a shared form of action that has a strong cultural interest with the cultural background of the society one belongs to. As an expression and a manifestation, electronic music has a connecting as well as antithetical strength that mostly shade into a form of becoming one. In that regard we band together as artists from Turkey and from all over the world to break the silence. We are inviting everyone to stand in solidarity with women in their struggle.

Damaged Psyche is the aka of the Colombian Lina Salazar, a project which began in 2018 and that revolves and varies around the genres of Darkwave, Minimal Synth, Synth Punk, Electro, Dark Disco, Slow Techno, Acid, EBM, Techno, Techno Industrial, Dark Techno and rave. His sets are characterized by playing with an ascending rhythm of bpms, taking the listener on a journey with beats from the lowest, sensual and dark to ending in high beats with industrial and strident sounds, collecting dark and dramatic stories with ritual and mystical nuances. , creating cold and industrial atmospheres with sharp rhythms and cutting, rhythmic melodies. Each artist produced a track related to the theme stated above. This track is aiming to raise awareness about a cause that the artist defends and that is dear to their heart. We are talking here about differences and inequalities in human rights in general.

The non for-profit organization supported for this first release will be the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), an American civil rights organization. The vision of the NAACP is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race.
