The Seek

Stepping into new territory with this one. Truth is, I have thought I'd like to produce music in different genres over the years.. but my interests and styles were/are way too varied to be consistent. So now I tell myself to just have fun and not try to match a tight niche or genre. This has elements of synthwave and edm.. but still is what it is.. with a chord progression I woke up with one morning a couple months ago. Quickly put the basics down and finally got to it today.

There's a voice recording in there of a man's experience meeting God in an NDE (Near Death Experience). He said His love felt like warm water.

My favorite composer and musician since chillhood has left us to the other side, and is making music beyond our comprehension now. I'm no pro musician, but he has inspired me to give my best effort and make music. No greater musical inspiration.. farewell Vangelis.

This melody and idea developed September 2022, and finally got back to it for finishing it up. I enjoy this style production, even though I have no idea who the audience is for this stuff. I have so many influences from many different genres, but this stems from my love of New Age style from the 80s and 90s I think. Maybe. 

I have also been producing minimal techno and will release these tracks on a different channel. Yes, I also love minimal techno. Go figure. Stems from 1977.. 7 years old. Parents gone and found my dad's Tangerine Dream "Stratosfear" 8-track tape.. played it alone, and life has neer been the same. Even though it was not the same genre, the electronic sound scape was fascinating to me. : )

Distant Memories

This track was made in 2013, not long after I discovered music production as a hobby. This, among many other tracks, was left unfinished sitting in a file folder for years waiting for the oppourtunity to remix and finish it. After trying to load it up in my DAW, many files were missing and didn't want to deal with it. It is what it is.

With the little time I have, just trying to develop a production level that I'm pleased with.  -  Recently began a Minimal Techno project called Astral Sine. Stop by if you like the sounds of Boris Brejcha. He's the inspiration for this project.
