After eight months without releasing any music, we are back for our first vinyl EP format : Love Ensemble EP - APRH003 ! We are extremely delighted to share this one with you as we already had early support from Black Loops, Harrison Bdp, Carlo & Flabaire <3

But who is Love Ensemble ?

It's a House music quintet founded towards the end of 2018 in Berlin. Consisting of https://soundcloud.com/horsemen_music, https://soundcloud.com/nephewsmusik and https://soundcloud.com/dimsum-aprh, both duos and the swiss man all met ahead of the second release of Apér’House Recordings. From that point on, they noticed that something needed to be done with the mixture of their respective musical directions.

A few months after their first gig at MS Stubnitz in Hamburg, they decided to go on a journey deep in the woods of brandenburg, Germany. The unexpected happened, and the love spreading boyband came up with a 4-track EP that will be set to release in June 2019.

Love Ensemble’s musical identity oscillates between the raw house feeling and micro-house vibe to deliver an ethereal club atmosphere. Respective owners of: Twofivesix Records, Metro Beirut & Apér’House

The road was a burning haze of smoke and mirrors as cars whizzed past beneath the glow of the flickering orange lights up above. The freeway was incredibly busy, packed with the lifeforce of the city and its vehicles. People watched on from bridges which overhung the passing street as cars roared their engines with furious intent. There was to be a race that evening, oil would pour as each racer cut up the road. We could simply watch from the sidelines with jealousy ablaze...

KNLB is set to release new music on Releisure, a digital EP which may well see the light of a vinyl feature in months to come. This is a delicate, thoughtful, provocative take on deep house with a restrained sense of maturity and patience. A beautiful track.

Berlin-based Peer Du has crafted a dreamy, luxurious sound in recent years, which is no wonder why the Haŵs crew have summoned him to unite with their ever-budding family tree. The Welsh label and party-starters have been quietly watering their roots throughout the previous months, and with its latest re-potting for its fourth EP comes a provocative collection of tracks that slink outwards from the ether like a polychrome, sonic mosaic.

'For Those' conjures up the image of an ocean of twirling bodies moving as one upon a packed out dance-floor during the golden era of house music; Peer Du weaves a coquettish sample vocal from Shanice into the toggles of a rippling bassline, with the final result an instant classic for any deep house fanatic. 

The fourth release on Haŵs, simply put, is like watching an expert tailor nimbly thread the eye of a needle with a gossamer fibre before effortlessly combining together textures, colours and adornments without once making a wrong movement.

For 15 years I’ve been releasing two track EPs with a crazy A-side and a much deeper or weirder B-side. Showing a range of sound has always been very important to me. My studio assistant and friend, Wyatt Marshall collaborated with me on the B-side and also gets credit for turning me on to modular synthesis which is used considerably on both tracks.

Premiere: Aleksandir 'Trying Your Luck' (Tywi remix)

Squares is a collaboration between Greg Dowling, Shane Johnson and Andrew Phillpott. Greg and Shane are better known as Fish Go Deep and have released music on labels such as Defected, Large, Innervisions, Local Talk and many more. Andrew also has a long history in the music industry, working with music royalty Depeche Mode and Dave Gahan for many years.

The project began as an analogue and modular synth jam in deepest West Cork, growing into more regular sessions and eventually resulting in a series of live shows and an albums worth of recorded music. The debut Squares release came out on acclaimed London label, Freerange, and the trio now follow that up with Speed Syphon, named after a favourite coffee brewing machine in the cafe next door to the studio.

The original mix takes a dusty drone, throbbing bass and some sweet Jupiter 8 licks for a wild ride around the dancefloor. The track ebbs and flows throughout, locking into a heads down groove and not letting go.

The Fish Go Deep remix packs a more straightforward 4/4 punch, nodding to classic Detroit techno while building a powerful momentum. With a bouncing bassline, beefy drums and a stirring string section, this one will work at any time of the night.
